  1. Looks to be barrel proof, like Booker's (my favorite). Woodford, like most bourbon is diluted with water to bring it down to bottling proof. Booker's, and probably Willet too, is straight out of the barrel. More flavor because it's not diluted.
  2. Sorta. They've never made a serious attempt to disarm a bunch of Tennessee rednecks. That might be an entirely new twist

    Hello

I figured you had already deployed. Be safe.
  4. Sight radius doesn't mean squat to an optical sight.
  5. Buy it. I think I have a set of handguards I'll give you. I hate those things.
  6. I'll say one thing... this thread has a helluva lot more Christmas spirit than the Ban Santa Clause thread
  7. I think the A2 front sight gets in the way of an Eotech, but a LOT of folks run them that way. An A2 works great on my Aimpoint carbine with lower 1/3 cowitness. I like the Magpul MBUS rear sight, but I'm not an iron sight guy. It's cheap, and it works.
  8. Can't you just up the buffer weight, if you're really worried about it? Me... I don't worry about it.
  9. You won't go wrong getting a carbine length gas system.
  10. White Oak Armament
  11. I have a Sinclair neck sorter (thickness gauge). Winchester is all over the place. Lapua is real consistent. Like I said, I think I'll have the runout whipped this week. New press tomorrow.
  12. Trimming sucks. This is on my list. Does it all in one pass... fast Match Prep, Home of the Gracey Power Carrtidge Case Trimmer
  13. Buying Lapua didn't fix the runout by itself. I think it will be fixed this week. I'll get to the bullets, if my velocity is less consistent than it's been. Right now I'm just trying to get them to point down the barrel I'm avoiding neck turning like the plague. That's why I have a bunch of new Winchester brass that's going to turn into skunk ammo.
  14. What Leroy said about the dings. They'll go away as soon as you shoot them. In fact, the sizing die will take a lot of it out when you reload. i cut the ejector spring in one of my AR's, and it doesn't ding brass anymore. I wouldn't do that with a normal AR, but I shoot Lapua brass in it.
  15. I wasn't out there that day. I have done ok out there, but not with that kinda wind. My gun will be shooting much better when I get out of ammo hell... later this week.
  16. He said you were working on something for him. I have lots of faith in you, but it would HAVE to be an improvement over what he has. BTW... now that the camera works at 1000 yards, we're probably gonna have to pop for a wide angle lens
  17. Just heard from Okey. They tweaked the antenna, and it's solid out to 1000 yards now. Success!
  18. Unbelievable! I have had GOOD luck with priority mail over the last year. Depends on the vendor. I have had a couple of two day deliveries from Primary Arms off the top of my head. Looks like they have gone into deficit reduction mode, and maybe moved some TSA employees in.
  19. Welcome! When you shoot up all your old ammo and are ready for new, you can leave the FOID card at home. Not needed here!
  20. Yep, and you're gonna wind up butt shot and writhin' in pain some day
  21. I'll admit that I'm a little more careful with my Glock and M&P, because ALL you have to do is pull the trigger. That doesn't keep me from carrying either one.
  22. I have a G23. It laid around the house all weekend until I finally stuck it back in the safe. Must be that NRA course I took when I was a teenager. The guy told me it would go off if I pulled the trigger. Said it worked the same way for any kind of gun.
  23. The MOST useful information in the entire thread. My safe is jammed full. No ammo, valuables, etc. Just guns.
  24. I think it does. You must skip over all the red print, like me . I have owned handguns for a lot of years, and have never shot myself, even when the manuals were written by gun people (instead of lawyers).
  25. Great! That's gonna be the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
