  1. Those serrations have a lot better grab than the straight ones on a Glock. Of course, you're right. Somebody would be more likely to take your queer pistol away from you and beat you with it . I think I'll just carry my Glock. I'm too old to take an ass whippin' these days
  2. I love my M&P9, but sure wish they made a mid size like the G19.
  3. Just the caliber search can drive you nuts. Looking to build a long range paper slayer. This could save me a few bucks.
  4. I never thought about it before. I have a long action 700 in .270 right now. I recon I could convert it to any short action caliber as well? Good to know! BTW... it has a jewell trigger on it too! There is a plan forming as we speak
  5. RRA is great stuff
  6. Stolen from Garufa's sig line... "Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - unknown Texas A & M student
  7. Don't think you'll find a bigger DD fan than me.
  8. I'll post when it's a good price, unless I'm trying to get it myself :-)
  9. I have PM'ed somebody when their price is high, just to let them know that they probably won't make a sale without a price drop. Had a pretty entertaining PM thread with one of them. The rule is a good one. This board runs pretty well because of the rules. If I didn't like them, I would hang out somewhere else.
  10. ... for a bolt gun. You need to full length resize for an AR and other autoloaders.
  11. You forgot to say Merry Christmas
  12. I don't think DLM was bashing Lee in general. He has recommended some of their stuff to me. But, if a guy that's had his hands on probably every progressive press out there tells me something is "junk", I'm probably gonna listen. Some of their stuff is as good or better than anything out there, and some of it sucks.
  13. For rifle, if you weigh all your powder charges (like I do), it breaks things up to the point that I can see very little benefit to a progressive for that kind of ammo. Brass prep is still the ugliest, most time consuming part of the whole process. My next big purchase will be in that area. I've read bad things about Lee progressives as well. Lee makes some good stuff, but lots of folks agree with DLM on their progressive presses
  14. I have the 333 as well. This thread inspired me to plug it in for awhile :-)
  15. Yep. Don't have to go near the kitchen.
  16. I use the Evadry. Same deal. They're not the cheapest tho. That's why I pulled my first post. I think we're talking scoops and cookie sheets and stuff
  17. You gotta resize before you trim, at least for bottlenecks. Full length resizing pushes the shoulder back a couple thousanths or more.
  18. Nothing wrong with the way your brain works. You use a progressive for volume. Why not get the fastest one? I don't shoot enough pistol to justify the tooling, and the rifle stuff I load needs a single stage. I would buy a Dillon in a heartbeat if i had a use for it.
  19. Not really much bigger than the one it replaced...
  20. Long action? .308 is short action.
  21. If you think the Dillon is what you need, then you're best off to find a way to pony up. I'm saying this as someone who has a slightly used press lying in the floor right now. The one that replaced it will be on my bench until I'm too old and feeble to reload anymore. Price should be low on your priority list when it comes to a press. They'll last longer than you will.
  22. I finally got a co-ax. The last one in the entire world, I think. Haven't had a chance to load anything, but it's bolted to the bench. i know you had bigger fish to fry last week. Hope you're feeling OK.
  23. +1 on the RCBS seperator. Don't think there's any better
