  1. I think you're wrong. I believe it would be the biggest stink in the history of the US
  2. So... what happened to the last ones?
  3. We gotta think about numbers any time the subject of a gun grab comes up. The industry processed right at 30 million background checks in the last two years. They may pass some laws and add some misery to our lives, but a gun grab ain't gonna happen. They don't have the resources, even with the full force of the military. They can't even round up all the Mexicans and send them back. That's tiny in comparison.
  4. Simmons rimfire scopes are good. Not the best by any means, but I don't think you can go wrong. The one I had was bigger and heavier than my other rimfire scopes, but it worked real well.
  5. We love you, AND your Russian ammo
  6. I left that one alone
  7. Smith has one of those beanies that are hammer forged from billet aluminum
  8. Besides... I doubt that you will use up all your ammo on the first one anyway
  9. I have the Hornady, but I think they're all made by the same Chinese guy.
  10. When a habitual thug buys the farm, I rejoice. I may look at it differently if our legal system was worth a damn, but we'll never know.
  11. My bet is still the crystal. Capacitors almost never fail. It's not the microcontroller either. They sell more of the cheaper ones. I would rather have an Oehler, but they're way too pricey for the amount of use I'll give one. The CE chrony lies to me with my .458 socom sometimes. Haven't taken the time to troubleshoot. Lots of folks have trouble with the .458.
  12. and beavertail and hammer. I have a milspec
  13. The Battlecomp is great
  14. Well, there's an obvious advantage to using 748... you got it. Since you're loading 1k, I would test the 748 AND the reloader 7. There should be somebody around your neck of the woods that can give you a powder sample.
  15. Reloader 15 and Varget are probably the two most popular for big target bullets in .223, and I think 6BR too. Heavy bullets down long barrels, as fast as you can make them go. My 77 gr Matchking load is 24 grains of Varget, and there's an audible crunch when you seat the bullet. Shooting it in a 24" barrel. BTW... it's a published load by Sierra.
  16. Yep. You need Reloader 15 or Varget for the heavies, like 77gr SMK's. From playing with Quickload, 748 appears to be real close to Reloader 15
  17. I hate it for the guy, even though it's another incredibly stupid move. At least that POS state is showing their true colors in front of the entire country. It may just backfire on them.
  18. If all that crap swings a few folks over to the gun friendly side, then so be it. Their goal is a broad audience, not hardcore gun nuts. I watch it because I want to see how guns are being presented to the masses. When Steph is standing there with her AR, saying "don't try this at home", she ain't talking to me.
  19. Always good advice, but I'll bet money he won't see any pressure signs with either load.
  20. I have a couple of the Caldwell Low Profile muffs, but this one caught my attention. I plan to buy them. Check the reviews... Impact Sport Electronic Earmuffs (NRR 22 dB) Green
  21. From what little I know about Red Jacket, I'm inclined to believe this.
