  1. I would think that's real dependent on the quality of the defense attorney. I'm guessing Zimmerman could wind up with a good one, since his dad is a retired judge. A lot of folks could wind up looking like idiots when this is all said and done.
  2. Peace, If you look past the media hype, and what was observed by the cops, it would be easy to mistake this as self defense. There was an eye witness that confirmed Zimmerman's story. Zimmerman was taken to the police station, and was interviewed. They just didn't charge him. That happens every day with self defense shootings. The race of either party doesn't matter to me, but it sure matters to the media, and the two guys that make their living off race issues. It matters so much that they will ignore ANY of the evidence. I'm sick of the media, and I'm sick of Jesse and Al.FWIW, I kinda like Al when he's not being a total ass.
  3. Maybe. I think you're right. He'll get indicted by popular vote. At least the whole thing will focus everybody on some facts
  4. Maybe. Or maybe Trayvon would have been shot by somebody else by now. If Zimmerman's story is true, it's a real possibility.
  5. And, I know you were trying especially hard at that moment . You get a gold star for correctness
  6. The most dangerous part isn't a problem with most rifle calibers. The cases are usually too full to double charge them.
  7. There's a kill Whitey rally on CNN.com right now, live from Sanford. I can't watch.
  8. So, you can probably move it to .243 with just a barrel change. May be worth it to you. You KNOW how to deal with the cost of feeding. Start here... http://www.amazon.com/The-ABCs-Of-Reloading-Definitive/dp/1440213968/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332798278&sr=8-1

  10. The AR-10 platform is expensive. That's one thing I don't have. I would expect them to be a little pricier with a special barrel.
  11. ...and stifle my awesome mall ninja training? No way
  12. DPMS did. I think there may be more. It's a necked down .308, so I think the only change is the barrel. Yeah, I was poking you a little
  13. You know you can get an AR-10 chambered in .243, right?
  14. Yep. A .243 will slap the bejeesus out of something. I think mine holds 5 rounds.
  15. This wasn't his first call to 911. Maybe he tried taking their advice the other times. Not defending his actions... just adding to the speculation. It's safe to say that the confrontation would have been avoided. I don't think anybody has stuck up for his crappy judgement.
  16. Yep. You probably need some mechanical aptitude, and you don't need to buy cheesey parts. You also need the right tools. All my guns work right, not just the AR's. I don't have a basement. My gun room is next to my electronics room.
  17. My first one. Made quite a few changes due to upgrades, but it's the same one. I'm not saying everybody should do their own. It's stupid simple to me. But, I do complicated stuff for a living.
  18. Brian isn't going to say something that will cost him his gig. He tries to be fair, and that's about all I can ask out of him.
  19. She's just like a lot of the other "journalists". The entire field went down the crapper a long time ago.
  20. Yep. The Information Stuporhighway.
  21. Here's my thing about the AR. If it breaks, you can fix it in a few minutes with the right parts. I don't understand the basement build fear, when It was designed for the easiest field repair work you can find in any gun. I can swap a broken bolt or extractior in a few minutes. FCG parts are about the same. You gotta kaboom one to kill it. I have way over 1000 rounds (closer to 2000) through my "basement" build, and it hasn't malfunctioned once. It's a lot like my Glocks. If stuff gets real, it's the one I'll grab. That, and a 1/16" punch so I can fix it.
