Zimmeran's brother gives his side of the story
mikegideon replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think it will come out either way. I don't blame the prosecuter for not showing her cards. If they fail to charge him, they're gonna have to say why. I think Florida riots would take on a different tone than the famous LA riots, simply because Florida allows their citizens to be armed. I'm thinkin' the casualties will be much higher. -

They know more. They're just saving it for the real trial. -

Asking somebody a question is not starting a fight. Hitting somebody is. Whoever threw the first punch started the fight. -

Don't know how practical they really are, but they're cool. I'll wind up with one.

I listened to Dave, and don't agree. I don't frequently disagree with him, so I'm thinking somebody just hijacked his computer. Hope nobody banged his head on the concrete -

I think it already is true about Zimmerman. I don't think anybody will believe much of what he says unless the evidence backs it up. Like, if his head looked like it had been banged on the concrete, he may be telling the truth. -
Or an AR carbine, whick is already a takedown gun.

I figure if she doesn't charge him, there will be a heap of 'splaining to do. Gonna get more interesting before it goes away. -

There have been several cases like that. OJ, off the top of my head. -

Here's a little real world. I just got a call, and one of my transmitter sites has been vandalized AGAIN. Not sure if there was any theft involved yet, or the extent of the damage. Will I call Metro? Probably not. Never worked before. Haven't been able to get them to show up the last couple of times. Would i chase the little bastards down if I saw them? Y'all speculate. I'm off to repair the damage now. -

I don't know. Again, the devil can be in the details. Not saying it happened this way, but if somebody snuck up behind a cop, sucker punched him, and then made it obvious that serious injury was the goal, the response may not be nonlethal. If the perp was going for his gun too, I'm not sure any cop would be trying to deploy his tazer. Minute details can flip this thing one way or the other. -

If the language in the Florida law doesn't allow them to question a shooter's "fear for their life", then a true injustice could happen. I can't agree with your version of injustice. From what we know right now, nobody had the right to physically assault the other. I think we lost the art of a gentleman's ass whippin' a long time ago. -

They're keeping all the good evidence to themselves. I know one thing. I'll never question the use of the word "reasonable" in Tennessee law again. At this point, I hope it goes to trial. The trials in the media and the on internet just aren't working, no matter how many experts have popped up. -
I made that exact trade, and am happy with it. I LOVE the M&P9, but like the size of the G19 a lot better. Pistols are like girls. It depends on what YOU like best, and what you're gonna do with them.

I think she made similar comments a couple of days ago. I wish she would get on with it if she's gonna do it. It may be intersting to some that she hasn't already done it. After all, it should be obvious, right? -

Last I read, based on the records, she was on the phone with him right up until it got physical. There is no tape, so she gets to tell any story she wants. Odds are good that the story will have some bias. It shouldn't have as much weight as some of the other evidence. -

A few years back, my neighborhood of over 15 years got real thuggy. I have a bullet hole in my back kitchen wall. I could go on about all the stuff that happened. Believe it or not, I think the housing crash may have fixed it for the most part. Didn't change the racial profile at all. The thugginess just went away. During the height of the thugginess, I flagged down a Metro cop and asked him why, all of a sudden, were people stealing sh#t off my front porch. His response was, "they have us tied up working traffic". My response, "there's no revenue in fighting crime". His response, "You're probably right. We don't like it". FWIW, it wasn't a white cop. -

Am I the only one that understands why Zimmerman may have wanted to get a look at the guy? He has been called an aggressor a million times in this thread. When i think aggressor, I think physical attack. There's nothing wrong with neighborhood watch. So... you're watching the neighborhood, a suspicious character shows up, and you call the cops. They show up 30 minutes later, but the suspicious character has vanished. Your description is a black guy in a hoodie. This happens repeatedly, with the property loss that goes along with it. I don't support racist actions, and I certainly don't support murder. I DO understand why Zimmerman may have wanted to get face-to-face with the guy without it being racially motivated. I have been sucker punched before, and realize that it takes a couple of seconds to regain your bearings if it's done right. You can keep somebody in that state if you keep punching. Not saying he is, but Zimmerman could be totally innocent. Since the prosecutor is sitting on all the evidence, I don't think we'll know until the trial. The medical on both guys is key. I'm betting that doesn't get leaked. -
I like the fact that it will feel like a regular rifle when it's together. The papoose and the AR7 have the same problem... no handguard.
