Everybody has their own vision of how SHTF will play out. One guy defending his home may not need rifles. I see folks banding together. I want more range and a bigger slap.

Nothing says you can't use good parts in your own builds. I don't put my rifles together to save money. The more you know about the available AR parts, the more you understand the difference in cost between "manufactured" guns.

We need to remember that Glock's biggest customer base is law enforcement. Taking the edge off the 40 was probably a good idea. The gen 4 G23 is the only .40 I own, so I can't compare. I DO understand why they would try to mitigate a little recoil if they could.

I'm not so sure the media does any better job with his crap than they do with any other crap. The only thing they do well is keeping the noise level extremely high. They can't do a missing dog report with enough valid info to find the dog.

No doubt Zimmerman made this all a possibility. BUT, the first criminal act, that wasn't justified, is when somebody got physical. Changing the law won't reduce the amount of violence. It will just change the score between thugs and non-thugs.

I bought mine new in the '70's. I've always loved it. I can't recall a malfunction the whole time I've had it. It doesn't have a firing pin safety, so they say it can go off if you drop it. I've never dropped mine. I also have a Gen 3 S&W. The guns are identical in function (externally). The grip on the 59 is a little fatter.

I assumed you were still a Sig guy. There has been quite a bit of debate about it. I thought i would toss in my two cents, since I own one of each in the same size frame. I disagree. They just needed to retune the 19. I like my Gen 4 23 better than my Gen 3 19. Not a huge difference, but better.
