  1. Yep. Mine does a real decent job at 600 yards with magazine lenght stuff, and Jeff has a better barrel. I'm trying to push mine out to 1000, but am having trouble finding the time to work up my loads. You have to run the gun in single shot mode past 600.
  2. Are you using that bench for reloading, or orgies?
  3. I would hit it with a sander and at least use some poly on it. It will get ugly pretty fast if you don't. The Minwax all in one stuff (stain/poly) works. Mine is going in the house, so everything will have to be finished. Still debating whether to use masonite, or bare finished plywood for the top layer.
  4. You win a free Trayvon T shirt and a liftime supply of skittles
  5. There are different schools of thought on bipods. I've never liked shooting with one. They use them exclusively in the Magpul Precision Rifle video. Those guys aren't having accuracy problems. One of the first things Hodnett covers is "loading" your bipod. As you're setting up for a shot, lean into the bipod a little and put some forward tension on it. I've never done that, but will try it next time I strap one on a rifle. I certainly can't argue with the results on the video. They are making some serious shots.
  6. Looks good! I'm getting ready to build one too. The table I'm using now just won't cut it.
  7. Most TWRA ranges have the crappy 3 day schedule. Cheatham may be the only one that doesn't
  8. Also note that my scope is at standard AR height. It's medium Burris tactical rings sitting on a Weaver 20 MOA riser. About the same height as a PEPR. Yours looks quite a bit lower. A PRS may not help, especially if it's too low.
  9. From experience. Yes, It will help.
  10. TWRA Range? Cheatham?
  11. Nice stick! It's screaming for a PRS stock. The adjustable cheek rest will help with scope wink, especially if you go up in power. I have an 8-32 on mine.
  12. The story has drifted. Thugs threatening to riot, and Nazis showing up for some of the fun.
  13. I always assumed this would be the basis of his defense.
  14. They doesn't have to mean all black folks. In this thread, it has meant Sharpton and all his friends. That excludes a LOT of black folks.
  15. You're preachin' to the wrong guy. I have already picked my end.
  16. The two party beauty contests will always exist. You can't lose sight of the fact that it's all about the money, and that it's highly unlikely that anything will ever prevail over it. I like Ron Paul as well. My choice has as much weight as a lotto ticket.
  17. THIS! Fact is, congress is more than capable of ruining the country all by themselves. The president doesn't matter so much unless he owns both houses, except for this one thing.
  18. You are 100% right. It's still gonna sting either way.
  19. You have a 2 x 4. One end is on fire, and the other has a handful of 16 penny nails driven thru it. Which end do you stick up your butt?
  20. Chris and Travis should have stayed with Magpul IMO.
