I haven't studied it much at all. The energy that's driving the expansion will eventually run out. I'll be long gone by then, so it hasn't been worth my time to find out what happens next. Hawking's stuff is interesting, but makes my brain hurt.

I'm not going to hold my nose. I had to hire somebody in the last several months. I developed a field of candidates and picked the guy out of the available field. Was he perfect? No. Was he a great hire? Absolutely. I'm going to look at this election the same way. Is he the best guy within the field of candidates? I have no doubt. Will he be a great hire? It's possible, maybe even likely. Am I thrilled that he's not going to waste a lot of time on social engineering (homos, abortion) like a bunch of friggin' liberals. Yes, I am. I'm gonna vote for the guy, and won't think twice about it.

My gut makes me feel the same way. With that said, I'm enjoying it. This kinda crap is just dragging up old feelings that will swing some folks against the Obama crowd in the election. So... show your ass, lady. We couldn't hire somebody to do a better job.
