  1. They're both short recoil pistols. Their operation is real similar to a 1911, almost like the knocked it off :-)
  2. Keep it away from Pincus. He'll break it
  3. So... what about the M&P45c and the Glock 36?. Isn't it the same deal?
  4. AFIK, the original Officer had a 3 1/2" barrel. There are others that have a 3" Barrel. Mine is a 3 1/2. I LOVE the size of the gun. I CAN see it working. Why?... because a lot of people already have.
  5. The Officer size 1911 is close to the size of a G19. Not exactly a pocket pistol. You can find plenty of folks out there that have very reliable subcompact 1911's in .45.
  6. Some of them do run well. If mine does, I'll carry it some. If it doesn't, I'll carry something else, and use it as a range toy. I'm sure my glocks have the Pincus seal of approval.
  7. It's a walk in the park compared to rifle, at least the rifle stuff I load. I'll probably wind up loading .40 as well.
  8. Mine is 3 1/2 (my barrel, that is). Happy Birthday, Mikey.
  9. When somebody empties a magazine into their own foot, you can look at it two ways. You can view it as a tragedy, or you can see the humor in it. Sooner or later, they'll be screaming in pain, and hopping around on one foot. That's funny. I don't care who you are
  10. I'm in a wait and see mode with mine. I plan to shoot it a lot.
  11. Another Ron Paul thread!
  12. I'm about to give it a whirl. Mine isn't a Kimber.
  13. Congrats! One of these days, I'll talk my girl into it. She already handles a pistol pretty well.
  14. I'm just getting started with .45 (and pistol) too. I arrived at my powder choice in a back assward fashion. Since I use a lot of Alliant powder on the rifle side, I jumped into Quickload and hunted thru the Alliant pile to find what was best for my 3 1/2" barrel. It wound up being a tossup between Bullseye and Unique. Then I went to the Interwebz and looked for a concensus. Most folks, in the places I landed are using Bullseye for .45. Since I will be using an automated powder drop, I didn't need any funky metering characteristics either. So, I got a bottle of Bullseye, and will start out with that. When it comes to die setup (I also have the Lee 4 die set), I dropped 20 bucks on one of these. Money well spent... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/744135/egw-4-hole-chamber-checker-max-cartridge-cage-9mm-luger-38-super-40-s-and-w-45-acp?cm_vc=S014
  15. I would think that if a woodpecker is drilling a hole in your house, it may be a different story.
  16. Don't ignore me. I'm about due for a profound statement
  17. He needs to pass an initiation.
  18. Yep. He'll take your guns, but he won't probe your vagina. There are more vaginas than guns.
  19. They won't let him
  20. The only thing that will motivate those sorry souls in Washington is a fear of losing their cushy jobs. Big votes for Ron won't accomplish that. I would be a much happier guy if he had enough support to win. He simply doesn't. In fact, it's about the only thing we can count on. Ron Paul won't be the president.
  21. Not a lot of thinking involved. More like feeling. Maybe the points are actually going in the right place.
  22. I've worked with several Mormons over the years. The only consistent thing I noticed was a strong work ethic... in fact, good ethics in general. I don't give a rats ass about somebody's religion as long as they don't inflict it on me. I'm pretty certain Mitt is too smart to go fanatic about religion. He would have failed long ago. If you're gonna vote for C, you might as well just write in your "perfect" candidate. Basil (one of my faves)? It will have exactly the same impact... one less vote against Obama.
  23. Yep. It really is THAT simple. If your choices are A or B, and you pick C, then simple is going right over your head.
