  1. Got some full load data? Bullet brand/type, OAL, charge weight, velocity, and barrel length. Trying to get my arms around it in Quickload.
  2. Until somebody proves me wrong, I'm blaming the consistency on the fact that it's ball powder, instead of extruded. That's one of the reasons I want to play. I would love to get a single digit velocity spread using my Chargemaster. Hell, Dolomite's getting it by dropping charges with the Lee BallSpewer.
  3. I've actually used my forward assist like that before. How does that tube feel? Is is gonna get slimy when your hands sweat?
  4. Charge weight? BTW... I believe you can be over pressure with a .223 without showing any signs. I know that's all you have to go on, but. You have guys jamming long bullets with Max+ compressed charges, and still not seeing any flat primers.
  5. I figured it's not quite the same, since lead free bullets are going to eat more case volume. EDIT: it would be nice to find out the charge weights for the old and new M855 rounds, even if you had to pull the bullets and measure them.
  6. Here's what I was able to gather... SMP842 was developed to replace WC844 in the new lead free M855 rounds. WC844 is sold commercially by Hogdon as H335. Here's a snapshot from a St. Mark's presentation. I have quickload data on H335.
  7. I may cast bullets one day. For now, it's no glove, no love. I have a hard time getting around to all the reloading tasks I've created for myself. I like the idea of polygonal rifling.
  8. My main reason for wanting a trust is so someone else can have it in their possession. I don't mind coughing the 500 bucks to minimize all the hassles.
  9. Advertisement. You ever seen Little Richard?
  10. Then, I guess I won't ever have this problem
  11. Will a trust get him past the hurdle? I have read up on NFA trusts some, but don't recall the specifics of LEO signature. I have already decided to go with a trust when I finally take the leap into NFA items.
  12. The article is talking about sprks from bullets hitting rocks. I can see that happening with steel core bullets, or even steel jacketed like Wolf. With that said, it needs to be a Smokey Bear kinda campaign, not a ban.
  13. I had some S&B .45 brass push mine up. They're boxer primed, but the primers were glued in with red laquer. I wound up putting them in a shell holder and knocking them out with a 1/16" punch. To the OP. Just loosten the collet and push it down until it's flush. You probably need two wrenches. Mine was pretty tight.
  14. I almost jumped on this one too
  15. Just had a quick chat with Dolomite. I'm going to jump on the bandwagon too. I'll holler at David and arrange a hook-up.
  16. Uuuh... because some folks don't agree that he's guilty with the evidence revealed to date? To me, everything points to a justified shoot at this point. Not saying it can't turn on a dime with the right piece of evidence. Just saying, I'm not convinced he killed an innocent 12 year old kid in cold blood. I won't be until somebody proves it.
  17. Born without a gag reflex.
  18. How well does it work for pushing the heavies, like 80 gr Bergers?
  19. Yep. Joe the plumber can't even spell rocket scientist.
  20. Bitch slappin' a photographer is an all American thing to do.
