  1. Is it still Mexican carry if you carry your pistol in your wasteband, or did they change that too?
  2. Fact is, If Tim would have put his hands on your 1911's, you wouldn't be a hater. No CNC mill required
  3. OK... now I wanna see you polish the ugly off a Glock. A true acheivement!
  4. I've seen that mill in person. Very nice piece of gear. Tim obviously knows how to drive it too. Good work, Tim!
  5. If you trust any of them, you need to be packed off to the funny farm.

    Quigley meets Stoner.
  8. I actually like that guy. Have for awhile. With that said, if he can get elected, I can shoot a Cadillac out of my butt. Nothing wrong with putting the message out there. He just doesn't need to help Obama. Best I can tell, most commies won't like him. If he steals any votes, it will be from our side.

Fun caliber. Looks like SBR has brass right now. I don't know what's up with Midway these days. They can't seem to keep stuff in stock. I know that doesn't bother you

The geometry is easy if you just do MOA graduations and use a table for each load.
  12. Doesn't matter. I'm voting for Dickie. Bring on the bacon!

I've beat the crap out of the SOCOM in quickload. There's no real combination that will push a 325 grain bullet past 2000 in a 16" barrel. I think 2000 is about tops with a 20" barrel.
  14. I'm voting for Dickie Weed. He promised to take a bunch of crop dusters and spray the entire country of Pakistan with bacon fat. I like that, so I'm gonna make him the president (he calls it King of the World).

i figured it was something like that.

I'm thinking 2050 is over pressure. May get 1800-1900, but I've never busted 2000 with a 300 grain in my 16" rifle. You should be able to do a 20 MOA riser and a good scope with some elevation range. Upping the velocity to 1800, your zero adjust would be 38 MOA at 500 yards, and 53 MOA at 600 yards (again, with a 100 yard zero). A ladder site could just be calibrated in MOA or Mils, with zero adjust tables for different loads.

At 1700fps muzzle velocity, your holdover will be 17 MOA at 300 yards with a 100 yard zero. Energy at 300 yards will be around 860 ft-lbs. (BTW... holdover at 1000 is 135 MOA). I have loaded and shot some of the 325's, but don't have any chrony data on them. 1700 is a good guess.

Like Macgyver said, it kinda drops like a rock past 150 yards. I doubt that your sights will allow you to do enough holdover to go much past that. Do you know how fast those FTX's are moving?
  19. You don't have enough mags.
  20. Champion's choice has a couple of models. I ordered my rear bag. I forget where I got it.
  21. Uppers are kinda scarce right now. Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. It's stripped, but comes with the parts. 110 bucks in stock with fast shipping. Note that is HAS M4 feed ramps. Ones without are easier to find right now. https://www.primaryarms.com/Yankee_Hill_Machine_A3_Upper_Receiver_Assembly_w_p/yhm-110-kit.htm
  22. You missed it. Happened years ago
  23. Let us know what you think when you get it. I'm interested too.
  24. That's what the long term folks say. The biggest problem is falling off the wagon. If you hit on something you can live with, you have the worst part whipped. If I stayed on it for a month, you would find me face down in a potato patch
