It's just big. No room for a backup sight. So, when I had it mounted, I just planned to use the on board iron sites. I think they're actually close to workable.

It's not a free float handguard, so there's force applied every time you shoot it, especially with 5.56. I have one of those optics, and understand why he pushed it forward. It's big. It has a great sight picture. If it were me, I would use the backup sight on the optic, and move it back where it lives on the receiver.

You should write movie scripts. That would be a good 'un. There won't be any confiscation, not in the forseeable future anyway.
