Really sounds like a job for Quickload. Try Hogdon H4227. I would start about 18 grains. The bullet in this run was a 55 grain FMJ Boat tail. Note the amount of propellant burnt is 99%. The required powder is gonna change by bullet weight. Other brands of powder probably exist too. Gimme more info and I'll run it down for you. Quickload has all the shelf brands/types of powder. Just no canister stuff
