    I don't know if you see many of my posts because of the way Facebook filters stuff, but I beat the hell out of Obama on a daily basis. Gill is a lot louder than me. I'm just wondering if there's an important detail missing from the story in the OP.

    Yep. I don't have a good enough relationship with the man upstairs to carry a 1911 in Condition 0. It's one of the reasons I prefer striker guns.

    I carry a number of different ones, depending on my mood. Never use a safety except with my 1911. I usually have a Glock with me.

    I think that thing is near perfect. I'm mostly in Gen 4 land now, so I don't need it. My Gen 3 is a 36, and is OK with the stock release IMO

    It will have to be 9 or 3 on both of my AR's with rails.

    I just ordered the X300 because I see more times when I would slap a light on an AR. If I was going for a dedicated nightstand solution (and I might), the CT looks pretty good. I've played with a few of the CT products, and their ergos are always good.

    The more I mess with guns, the more I lean toward higher quality components. If there is an obvious "best in class", I would rather just cry once.

    This subject has been sloshing around in the back of my mind forever. I'm going to take your advice. I don't believe I'll leave it permanently attached to one gun. Just ordered.
