1.
So in other words, you don't really have an answer to my earlier questions. I was asking for an honest response on WHY you think he's doing a good job and HOW you quantify that belief. You don't appear to have that info. The economy is worse now than when he took office, the national debt is higher, the deficit is higher, and job growth is at a crawl except for the government sector. He's proposed no policies to fix Social Security, Medicare, or entitlement spending. He hasn't proposed any policy to address immigration. He has yet to propose a successful policy approach to energy problems. His foreign policy ideas are primarily extensions of Bush-era policies or quite similar to Romney's. He has not redeemed the USA in the eyes of the international community, we are still engaged in armed conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. He's ignored atrocities/genocide in Darfur and Syria. He oversaw the Benghazi debacle. He oversaw the "Fast and Furious" debacle. He hasn't gotten ONE SINGLE VOTE from Republicans or Democrats in Congress for his proposed budgets nor has he been able to lead a compromise between the two parties on budget issues. He oversaw the passage of the healthcare reform act, which most Americans don't approve of, that he's exempted dozens of businesses from, and that he had to lie to sell to the American people (hence the penalty vs. tax issue). Violent crime increased last year for the first time in almost 2 decades. He's increased the use of federal authorities to raid state-sanctioned medical marijuana facilities in conflict with his campaign promises. He's appointed members of special interest groups to positions in his administration in conflict with his campaign promises. He took a meaningless stance on same-sex marriage. His own administration has the gender-based pay disparities he claims to abhor. Crime and unemployment is at extraordinary high levels within the black community. He's apparently doing such a good job that he won by a much smaller margin this year than in 2008. Please tell me one single clear achievement that demonstrates he's doing a good job.
Well... one of my Facebook posts from earlier today... [i]You need a free phone, some weed, and a funny hat. Life is wonderful. Just listen to the speech again. 2.
Seems that way
It does, but that sumbitch started it
 3.
This morning, Davy Crockett's famous line of "Y'all can go to hell, I'm going to Texas." was going through my mind. But then, I thought back to my two years spent in Houston. You can't find a pork sandwich down there to save your life.
Houston for me too. There's plenty of pork down there, and it's free. I have a smoker, and a pretty good way to get free pork.
 4.
Texas does sound more appealing than Canada. Canada is down to #2 on the list, and Texas is #1 if it secedes.
They stay in a state of patial secession. I won't be living with a bunch of frozen liberals. I like most of the Canadians I've met, but you can have that place.
 5.
It is actually written in there constitution that they can leave if they they want. They are self sustaining have a major port decent military. JTM Sent from my iPhone
I've lived there twice. The subject comes up. I'm betting it has reached a dull roar about now.
 6.
Canada is starting to loosen up some of their gun laws, that is my prime choice at the moment.
Press 1 for English or 2 for French. No thanks. I'm moving to Texas. I figure they're about ready to seal the borders.
 7.
New Zealand is looking half way decent.
Forget it. They have an immigration policy
 8. You win or you don't. Score: Win-0 Don't-1
 9. Well, this thread has some real potential
 10.
Medicinal marijuana? Dolomite
Nope, he's smokin' the big Tootsie Roll.
 11.
That may work but I want my country to be a lot more than just fiscally stable.
I'll take fiscal stability. Wait, no I won't. The party didn't have to change their beliefs or positions. All they had to do was STFU. Instead, the crowd picked another girl.
 12.
It is doomed. The voters don’t give a #### that things are bad under Obama because Obama promised them free stuff; the stuff Republicans say you have to work for. Of course they are going to choose free stuff. What some are suggesting is for the Republican party to look more like the Democratic party and have a "big tent" with maybe some fiscal discipline thrown in – well, we already have the Democratic party; we don’t need the Democratic-lite party. Maybe if a balanced budget is all a person thinks really matters that "lite" idea works for them but it sure as hell doesn’t work for me and I want no part of it.
A whole lot of those votes were strictly over social issues. More than enough to swing the election.
 13.
Yeah...right...the Repubs lost because too many people talk about gays and rape. All the Republicans need to do is to look just like the Democratic party and all will be well with the world.
White women beat Romney. We're gonna replace them with what? In four years, that might not even be enough, if we can manage to stay out of their pants. The two candidates that made the famous rape statements LOST. Both lost in states that Romney carried. Not saying we should turn into Dems. Just saying, the commies won because WE got way off message.
 14.
It has been over for a long time. I've said it before, but it bears repeating. The republic is dead, she just ain't stopped moving yet.
Thanks for cheering me up
 15.
Well, I see no end of $trillion annual deficits for as far out into the future as anybody wants to look...all the social programs consuming the country's wealth are completely unsustainable and not a single politician, least of all the socialist in chief, are willing to do anything about it. We won't protect our borders and we won't even protect Americans abroad...we have more people riding in the wagon than pulling it...yeah...I'd say the grand experiment is over. Even putting all other issues aside, no country can continue on the financial road we are on without going over the financial cliff; the number simply don't work and no amount of manipulating the numbers will change the inevitable. One tiny change in any one of a number of factors could make it happen...I don't know how long we can hold on but there will come a day when it happens and when it does happen I believe it will happen with a swiftness than few can comprehend. I hope people are preparing...storing food, guns, ammunition and the basics of life because those things will either be extremely difficult to find or impossible to afford if you do find them. When the financial collapse happens things will get pretty ugly. God...I truly hope and pray that I'm wrong. Eventually, the country will probably recover...what it will look like I've no idea but, like you, I'm old...I seriously doubt I'll be around long enough to see that part of it.
I have plenty of guns and ammo, and I know where the food is. I'll just have to develop a taste for Granola and low fat yogurt
 16.
Yes they did so they didn't change the overall makeup of the court. However, the Republicans in the Senate couldn't get GWBs nominations through even when they were the majority and I've see absolutely nothing in the years since that would indicate to me that they have the will to do anyting to oppose this president. Elections have consequences; a liberal court packed with a majority of justices who think the Constitution is a living thing that needs to be reinterpreted (or even ignored in favor of more "enlightened" laws from other countries) is one of those consequences we now will face and I respectfully suggest, Mike, that any faith in the Senate to stop it is misplaced...oh they may bluster and him and haw and make some noise but in the end, they'll fold like the spineless piles of crap they are.
So... it's over.
 17.
That's a pretty ignorant statement
Yep.
 18.
I guess you mean like they filibustered the last two Constitution hating appointments, correct?
Didn't they both replace liberals? Never mind. I'll just give up and let 'em have it. I'm old.
 19.
I think that you are forgetting about the likes of Alexander & Corker.
Not forgetting. Do you think the GOP is just gonna lay down and let the court go full commie?
 20.
Well, it looks like those "biased polls" were right all along. I can't say I'm surprised. Perhaps the GOP will be a better candidate next time who people actually like though I don't think Jesus Christ himself could have surpassed Obummer in this election. We can sit here and bitch and moan for 4 years or we can accept the fact that Obama is our president and just pray things don't get worse. I'm not going to live my life in fear because everyone on this site claims the sky is falling. Let's try to stay positive.
Thanks for that inspiring speech. I thought Obama's was better. The reality is... Same ole sh#t, different day. Obama ran a tactically smart campaign with the mainstream media's help. With all of that, 48% of the population voted against him. The balance of power in congress remained virtually unchanged. The country is more divided than it's ever been. They have to fix some stuff, but it will be anything but an Obama love fest. I'll cheer up when he wakes up.
 21.
There shouldn’t be. But as you can see here, it looks like we are going to do it to ourselves again. Some people don’t seem to be happy unless they are overreacting about gun laws that no one has proposed expect them. The anti’s can just set back and have a good laugh…. Again. Luckily I’m pretty well set. I won’t need to buy anything until the prices go back down. All the guys that got burned last go around paying hundreds more for their AR’s than they were worth will be able to unload them on a new group this time.
How can the anti's sit back and laugh about the huge gun sales?. I'm pretty much set as well, especially on guns. I may rathole some more ammo. I like ammo
 22.
What evidence have you seen to suggest that there are enough Senators with the balls to do so??? Some may bluster but the R's didn't have the guts to stand up against the D's when the R's had the majority and a R president; if anything, those idiots have even less of a backbone than the House.
They'll filibuster a tree trimming contract in a national park. Why wouldn't they stop something as big as a bad appointment?
 23. There was virtually no change in Congress. Where we gonna find all the gun grabbers to vote that stuff in?
 24.
Interesting... Gary Johnson's votes would have put mitt ahead of Obama in FL and OH according to politico
Are you sayin' they helped Obama? Imagine that.
 25.
Yeah...because all the somebody elses got 1/4% of the vote, the Republicans are going to take notice and suddenly become the libertarian party the libertarian party wanted to be. I don't know what you are drinking but I'd like to have some; it must be really good stuff...all I've got here is JD.
No. Their demos are gonna die off. Has nothing to do with libs (tarians or tards).
