I understand. After the fact. I'm not a tightass about most things. But a firearms instructor pointing his gun at students, loaded or unloaded, is an unpardonable sin. That guy needs to lose his license.

I have no kids around my house. The self defense guns are out and loaded. I know most folks can't do that. I don't unload handguns to put them in the safe either, so most have ammo in them. Just no detatched mags or ammo boxes.

You are obviously not a crazy man like some of us. My ammo won't fit in the safe, even if I remove the guns.

The Kentucky permit is actually a Concealed Deadly Weapons Permit. Even though open carry of a handgun is legal, and has been as long as I can remember, concealing a weapon requires a permit. I don't know the finer points, but do know that concealing a gun or auto knife requires a permit

It's the BEST place to dial in a scope IMO. It's the only outdoor range I know of that allows you to change the range of your target without changing lanes. I have dialed in a bunch of scopes there.

I have shot there a lot over the years. It has been awhile now. It was always well run. It was also the busiest range in the state, with lots of newbies. So, if anything, the RSO's were pretty heavy handed. So... the number of shootings has been sursrisingly low for the amount of traffic and noobery.

I actually replaced a TRS25 with a Romeo 5. They are the same basic size. The reason I changed was the "shake awake" technology in the Romeo. I use mine on my home defense rifle. I just leave the sight on, and it goes to sleep until I grab the gun. REAL long battery life in that mode.

I have 3 KAG's. My favorite. Not a fan of the AFG at all. I either gave mine away, or it's buried in a box somewhere.

It's not max. Max is 62,366. Start at 18 grains and work up. Quickload just gets you in the game. It's great for finding powder.

The ballistics they put out on their bullets have always been accurate. I'm betting these are too. The velocities are probably for a 24" barrel
