1.
Crazy is relative, depending on what hat one wears, i guess. I'll stick with aluminum. Still cheap.
... and you look good in it too
 2.
Or one of our crazy uncles.
The OP was somebody's crazy uncle
 3.
For exactly what? People who qualify can get one. - OS
As I read it, a lot more folks in Ohio "qualified" than most other places.
 4.
"Obama Phone" program (LifeLine) began under Reagan admin. http://www.fcc.gov/lifeline It started including cell phone service under Dubya's admin. - OS
... and was used extensively in the great state of Ohio for?
 5. Apparently, this one is better... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tpAOwJvTOio
 6.
As others have stated, I would also suggest you start with a single stage press to get the hang of things. You can buy a Lee press pretty inexpensively. Then, if you still want a progressive press, you'll still find occasional uses for the single stage, such as new load development, or any time you just want to load a few to try for whatever reason.
Truth. You'll most likely want a single stage hanging around anyway.
 7. Saw that earlier today
 8.
Snopes says it's ok...WHEW that was close! Not even getting into the topic of the post, but just fyi, snopes is not the most dependable source check on truth.
Yep. My own BS filter worked just fine for this one. If the sky was really falling, I'm pretty sure I would hear it from the NRA. It's good for donations
 9.
What's an ak45?
Russian made Glock that allows you to "spray" bullets from the hip. Don't you know nothin'?
 10.
Is this dejavu? I seem to recal a similar thread about your neighbors a few months back. Same neighbors still at it or different ones? Dolomite
The gift that keeps on giving. I know you have a little experience with that too.
 11.
Do people still wear coats? From what I've seen, at most people wear a hoodie or lightweight fleece. And most people seem either too lazy to put on warm clothing or they don't realize that it's cold outside, so heavy clothing shouldn't be too much of a factor if you find yourself in a SD situation.
Yep, and a lot of times, there's just a single layer of plaid underwear. Not exactly center mass, but works for me
 12. I usually stay up pretty late. Didn't have much choice last night. Even if I would have drug on of my guys out of bed, I still would have stayed up until things were stable. Figured I would just let them sleep.
 13. Welcome. AR's are like crack. Takes a helluva man to build just one .
 14.
But I go to bed early....
I haven't been to bed. Lost an air conditioner in our main server room downtown around 11pm. I went ahead and dealt with it so I wouldn't have to wake up one of my boys. I would be headed for the sack, but I'm gonna make a happy Monday call around 5.
 15.
The PK380 single action trigger will make it much easier for her to shoot it accurately. I still think you should give serious consideration to it since you know she likes it. The Sig p238 that was mentioned is also a good choice, but will cost you. The recoil of the p238 will also be a little snappier than the PK380, but not as snappy as your P3AT. Let the .380 bashing continue.
I like the PK380. I took a friend to buy a gun about a year ago, and he walked out with a PK380. He's an older guy without a lot of strength. Had a problem racking the heavier slides, and didn't want much recoil. The gun was perfect for him. It's perfect for some girls too, if they have the same issues. The LCP is a little beast. I actually like shooting mine, but my girlfriend hates it. She likes 9mm and 45. She doesn't like .40 either. Too snappy.
 16.
You're doing it wrong.
Dang, Nacho. You're up with the chickens.
 17.
I was wondering if this was going to turn into "Caliber Wars".
Don't worry about it. You probably won't have to really shoot anybody anyway
 18. I ordered 200 rounds when I first built the rifle. Loaded everything else.
 19.
His left or mine... I need to make sure I get it right the first time
His left. Aim for the other eyeball and you'll be fine.
 20.
The question is more for a legal discussion, you know, excessive force vs. stop the attack. I have had considerable training from the holster for head box shots. The majority of my shots with IDPA will also be head shots. Just wanted to see what the general feeling was.
I don't think it matters from a legal standpoint. Deadly force is deadly force. Again, the only legal issue is when you miss and hit an unintended target. The trick in IDPA is to get enough crack into the target that it's head will move around like a real thug.
 21. This (below) is a good investment. There are tons of videos out there on reloading, but I read the book because doing it wrong can be dangerous. There's also lots of help on forums like this. http://www.amazon.com/The-ABCs-Of-Reloading-Definitive/dp/1440213968
 22.
The only legal risk you have is if you are not justified in shooting.
... and the fact that you'll probably miss, so the bullet is going to hit something else with full force.
 23.
I know a lot of people use Loctite, but I just can’t bring myself to use it. I’ve drilled out too many screws and bolts that had the heads stripped out or were broken trying to take them out that were sealed with sealants. Scopes are too fragile and expensive to run that risk. Hit them with a torque wrench once a year (more often if need be).
It's all in the color. Blue (242) doesn't put any serious stress on the screws when you remove them. Red is another story... get out the torch. I use blue on adjustable triggers too. I never use red unless I want the equivalent of a tack weld. That never happens on a gun. Surefire even ships 242 with their lights for use on their mounting kits. I've never had a problem, and move optics around quite a bit.
 24.
I think we all must have one of those. My gay(term used loosely) nephew thinks communism is a good thing and doesn't understand the fascination with firearms, but gets behind you if confronted. Little coward will be at Thanksgiving dinner. I will be there, briefly.
Gets behind you? May wanna tighten up a notch or two on that belt
