  1. A good mother-in-law assessment is a rare thing :)
  2. Part of the reason Romney didn't get elected was because he signed an assault weapons ban years ago in a deep blue state.   Note to politicians: Go ahead and vote for one. I dare you. We NEVER forget. Hell, I'm still pissed at Bill Ruger.
  3. You mean a FOID card? F#ck me.
  4. That was a great show
  5. No need to shop the Geissele. I've never seen them discounted anywhere. I have ordered two direct, because you get free swag direct from Geissele, and the same price as everywhere else.
  6. I'm getting ready to build a long range bolt gun. It will most likely be a 24" or 26" barrel. It really depends on what you want to do with the gun. The one I'm building won't be good for a stroll in the woods.
  7. Haven't you ever heard of the lady sheriff with the big...
  8. Won't happen with me. I got used to auto-indexing with my cheap Lee turret press. Gotta be a 650.
  9. AR style rifles with free floated heavy barrels and the right ammo just want to be real accurate. Not sure about any specific brands. It's something that's pretty hard to screw up, though. If I was building from scratch, I would have to be convinced to go with a DPMS barrel. I would be inclined to go with a better brand. With that said, I have a 24" stainless bull made by ER Shaw on my AR-15. That ain't exactly high end.
  10. It's just fiddly and hard to read. If you fart loud, the pan falls off the scale. I don't like cheesey tools, and that's probably the cheesiest thing Lee makes.
  11. I know the Lee scale is accurate, at least until it hits the wall at 800 fps :). I hate that thing. Used it once, and it went back in the box.
  12. Most Ninjas are gay, especially the ones in the malls.
  13. 1/2 MOA is about as loose as you wanna be for long range shooting. You can hold that with a good rest and good trigger. I polished some 1" dots off a 400 yard plate with my 223 AR, and I'm not a good shot.
  14. Different weights, different colors. I though JP had yellow ones. Maybe it's another brand
  15. In stock at Amazon...   http://www.amazon.com/Frankford-205205-Arsenal-Reloading-Scale/dp/B002BDOHNA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1355431083&sr=8-1&keywords=frankford+arsenal+ds-750
  16. It's just out of stock.  I don't know anything about the one you linked. Electronic scales are kinda tricky. I stick with what I know   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/175512/frankford-arsenal-ds-750-electronic-powder-scale-750-grain-capacity
  17. That kit looks pretty good. I will say that the Lee scale REALLY sucks. The Frankford scale in Dolomite's list is great, especially for the price. It agrees with my more expensive scales.
  18. Sounds like he's already using the JP springs.
  19. Trying to get on some more lists, or just working your way to the top of the ones you're already on?
  20. The plain SSA is a good trigger too. I have a couple of them as well. I just like the SSA-e a little better.
  21. The Classic cast is a great, heavy duty press. The Classic turret is great too. I have both. I agree with Jonnin that a turret is perfect for loading pistol ammo. I use it for rifle ammo too if I'm doing big quantities.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Al0pZoSsfU&feature=player_embedded
  22. Look at the graph in the flyer. The first stage is just trigger takeup. You apply 2 pounds of force, and the trigger will move to the second stage. Then, you apply an additional 1 1/2 pounds of force and the trigger breaks.
  23. I deal with a lot of big egos. Some folks need those egos to do what they do. As I said earlier, Yeager's personality doesn't bother me. He has some pretty good credentials as a trainer. His internet videos are one thing. It's much more important how his students feel about him after they complete a class.
  24. You may just need a high end trigger. Semi-autos are kinda tough. If you do it wrong, the rifle can wind up doubling. That can get you some jail time.   This is my favorite. Not quite as light as you want, but it makes me happy...   http://geissele.com/pdfs/ssa-e-flyer.pdf
  25. Some people shouldn't have cars. I see a bunch of them every time I get on the road.
