  1. That law is there to pacify the gun haters and the property rights crowd. Gun fear is an irrational thing. Sign law needs to go. Serves no practical purpose. They KNOW people are ignoring the signs, and that it's virtually impossible to enforce without metal detectors
  2. Annnd.... the 3D print files are on the Internet!
  3. I know way more about your brain than you show on this site
  4. I have accidentally ignored a bunch of them. Never know when I may accidentally ignore them again. This is a good law. I will obey it.
  5. That means your brain is illegal, and has to be evaluated by the red flag police. Did they outlaw the bump stock on a Mini 14?... Guess I better delete that too. The old string trick on the Garand.
  6. This ^^
  7. It was a coat hanger auto sear. I did.
  8. The bigger challenge is holding the Upper without dinking it up. If you don't have a vice block, or some of the newer hardware like a reaction rod, then you risk twisting the upper receiver. If you are gonna throw the barrel nut away. then you can get by with a pipe wrench. Should be able to get enough bite by shoving the delta ring back, just like you would with an armorer's tool. You gotta get the gas tube out of there first, of course.
  9. I broke my collar bone when I was in high school and it took forever to heal.

    DLM

Sounds like DLM is doing fine. I have been thinking about him lately anyway. I'll give him a call next week.

    DLM

He is a Facebook friend. Last posted on his birthday on 2-7. He never was real active. I'll ask Gordon.
  12. It's a trap. You vote for a Republican to avoid voting for a Democrat, and wind up voting for a Democrat.
  13. Pretty broad statement there. I have $1000 in the handguard/barrel assembly on one of my Grendels. Got another $300 in the trigger. You can wind an AR up pretty tight if you need to.
  14. Yeah. If it's colored blue, it could usually benefit from a good swarm of locusts
  15. I'm looking at the KY folks that have a permit that's easier than TN, with probably a little less reciprocity acceptance. With constitutional carry now, there's some argument for tightening the Deadly Weapons permit. They probably never will.
  16. I don't think it matters
  17. You're still gonna need a shotgun. You know that, right?
  18. I have an American Classic Officer. Not a Ruger, but learned something about that size. I bought mine new, and immediately took it to Tim Calhoun for a new properly tuned extractor and some other TLC. I asked him to keep the gun until he got it tweaked out, and had a chance to take it to the range some. He got it running pretty well. His comment was that officers, in general were always gonna be a little persnickety because of the geometry of the feed system. And that commanders and governments are just more reliable. If I had it to do over, I would buy a Commander. If I buy another, it will be a Commander. Now... Tim may have changed his mind since he's now making an officer in 40S&W. More likely his design is a little better than the Colt and clones.
  19. Yep, and Facebook friends with the chief RINO slapper
  20. I would., unless the two are identical. My money says they won't be. Now, when it comes to pimping, the Glock may be your better platform, just because of the wide range of parts. Not a Glock fan speaking here either. I loved my M&P. I understand why anybody else would too.
  21. I almost got the bug once or twice. TGO David has been no help trying to fight it off either.
  22. All my Glocks are bone stock except for a lighter connector here and there. Got no objection to building one up if that's what you want. The Glock is kinda getting to be the Ruger 10-22 of the pistol world. My Glocks are all stock, but my 10-22 just about doesn't have any ruger parts.
