  1. Yep. They definately enjoyed this one more than most.
  2. How about.... wait for it.... the MEDIA is for it.
  3. Yeah. I see the House Republicans getting right behind Obama. They do it all the time
  4. I don't expect the government to be overthrown to begin with. I'm expecting the mother of all street fights
  5. A lot of it is just TGO banter. No sense in agreeing when you can have a real good argument on the way to agreement. :)   If they attempt gun confiscation, we're ALL gonna take it very seriously. President Penut Head intends to do exactly that. Just has to go thru his motions first.
  6. I agree... I think. All this talk is based on what-ifs. This is a little different than most. This REALLY is gun gunfiscation that will be introduced to the senate, and a president that will support it to the letter when it's introduced. The intent is there. The action will be there in a couple of days.
  7. That JPEG from above is pretty good. Starts getting a little hairy when you pump it up to T shirt size. I'm guessing the illustrator file doesn't do that.
  8. Email me the AI file and I'll check it for scalability. Don't need to hand that one out except to printers and folks like that. I didn't even check what I snatched off this site.
  9. Well OK, Mr. Movie Police
  10. CGI Buddy... the alien didn't really pop out of her chest :)
  11. I would sue them and ALL their friends. What a POS company.
  12. Ain't Obama dreamy?
  13. This sure is a geeky thread for a cranky old bunch of gun nuts :).
  14. I said most :)
  15. A spindle can be modeled with flat slices. So can a cyclindrical air gap (negative). It's a lot easier to do in Solid Works than noodling up an XYZ geometry file with a pencil. That's why I'm guessing that the software was a big part of the major improvement. Need to read up on the process. Maybe a thin substrate layer on each slice that holds the free parts in place until lamination is complete? That could be taken away with a hot air blast or solvent.
  16. Who can predict the numbers? Do I think there will be acts of rebellion? Yes, I do. Will some of those folks have skills? Yes, they will. Does King Peanut Head and his followers see it happening? No, they don't.   Destroying a cornerstone of the US Constitution will have consequences. Every patriot is going to deal with that in his own way. I don't see myself as a rogue fighter. Don't see most of the folks I know as one either. But, what everybody needs to realize... it won't take big numbers. Look at the havock the DC snipers caused. Now, multiply that times 0.1% of US gun owners (that's 1 in 1000).   Me... I'll just stop helping them with anything. You can screw me, but I'm just gonna lay there. Then, I'm gonna F#ck all your friends. Oh yeah... I'm gonna piss in your coffee EVERY morning.   Nobody is going to gather and storm the capital. It will be much uglier.
  17. Integrating moving parts is a software (and processing horsepower) thing. It's still just assembling 2D slices, right?
  18. Yep. It's what you call a hand whittled vector graphic :)
  19. They do (did) it on American Guns. We call those folks idiots :)
  20. Rapid prototyping has been coming for awhile. I saw it in circuit boards first. Those are simply a baby CNC mill that mills out a negative image of the copper layer. Time is always money in a design cycle. You beat on a design for weeks (or months), rush to get your final art files in the email, and then W...A...I...T for your boards to show up from the vendor. Hitting the send button on that email is always a white knuckle experience.   If the design requires heavy prototype testing, you could wind up going thru that cycle a few times. Expensive gear, but can be worth it.   AFIK, 3d will only make functional parts when low strenght is required. If it needs to be steel, you probably can't print it.
  21. Actually, it's a really OLD font :)
  22. Yep. We need to keep criminal behaviour out of the gun community, at least until they succeed in making us all criminals.
  23. We never had the majority of We the People any time some oppressive assholes needed a smackdown.
