  I agree. That's another battle to be fought. I just like the way things are shaping up. They're starting to fall in line with the NRA's position in a number of ways. Guards in schools, strengthen enforcement, etc. Of course they're gonna try to grow the government. It's what they do. I would much rather deal with that than the full retard mode they've been in.

  Poose did a good job of ignoring one of his main points. The purpose of the second amendment is to keep control of government in the hands of the people. Giving him a copy of the Constitution was a nice touch :up:

We are trying to convince the sheep that AR-15's are no threat. Making them feel threatened isn't the way to accomplish that.

  You may be talking about an unholy relationship between gun owners and the ACLU at that point. Some TSA goober taking away somebody's rights over a mental health issue is real slippery, and has little to do with the NRA. I think it would take a judge acting medical reports.   James isn't crazy anyway. I think TGO David's assessment is much closer.

I haven't seen any Republicans coming off their position (except for the ones that already hate guns). Mitch McConnel said it won't make it to the floor of the senate for months, and that's Obama's friendly turf.   The tone of that article... tighten up the laws we already have and ENFORCE them. In other words, what the NRA has been saying for years.   BTW... the NRA is fixing to hit with a bunch of TV and print ads
