I think James pulled an incredibly boneheaded move. I wasn't a bit surprised when the state reached out and spanked him. There's a reason HE edited that first video. I'm betting he gets his permit back. His Youtube stuff is just Youtube stuff.   I also wouldn't hesitate to train with the guy if he had what I needed. The whole thing is BS. It's just BS that he brought on himself.

The regular mobile interface works real well. I use it on my iPhone all the time. Just use safari.

  Ah... the twitch probably isn't permanent, and the hair will probably grow back :). Looks like it will get us on a more robust server. That's never a bad thing.

Membership is over 16,000 right now. Don't know what it was before. We're also seeing some old faces (a good thing). As some of us are painfully aware, it has hammered the server.

  I used to bump into Phil in the hall on a regular basis. Nice guy. His eyes weren't bugging out, or anything like it :)

  I expect the system to work. In your list of checks an balances, you left out the final check. Even though there are people trying to take us to that place (and I'm not talking radical gun nuts and fantasy boys), it has to go through a LOT of layers to get there. It won't.   Yes, the founders planned for this, and chose armed citizens as the final deterrent. Anybody that views a 2nd amendment remedy as an opportunity is out of their minds. It would be the worst of the worst. With that said, it is there.

  I think that it's not so much what they've seen, but what they've been told. You have a huge group of folks that try to make the public fearful of civilian gun owners. Unfortunately, MOST media is included in that sorry bunch. They all support cops with guns.

  I can sure feel a difference with my Glocks. My 45 hand loads are a little toasty, and I always shoot 230's. I always shoot factory range ammo in my 9's.   I'm a Glock guy, but agree that M&P's are sweet shooters in any caliber. Can't go wrong.

  I agree. When it comes to him, the story is always bigger than the guy. His mouth turned him into a useful idiot for the Huffpo crowd. THEY are our true enemies.   I don't get too hung up on Yeager's douchebag level. I've been in the media my whole adult life. I've known lots of folks that make their living in front of cameras and microphones. Some of them have been big names. What comes out of their mouths is usually not the same as what you get when they're off mic. Yeager isn't a pro, but does use video to promote himself and build an audience.

  I'll bet he gets it back too. He didn't just crawl out from under a rock. The guys that pinched his permit know he's a blowhard. They also know he's an ex-cop, and has done his time for the good guys. I can hear off-the-record the conversation between his attorney and the judge now. "Look, we both know James is an idiot, but is also one of the good guys. He'll stay out of trouble from now on".

Let's break this down a little. James did a really stupid thing with that first video. It didn't take him long to realize the stupidity, so he pulled the video and lopped off the stuff that was over the line. Then, he came back the next day and doubled down, adding even another layer of stupid. Note that the Libtard crusaders never showed the edited version of his first video. Not enough juice.   Meanwhile, his antics inspired comments from some of the sane members of our community. Travis and the Military Arms guy come to mind. This was a good thing, and helped with concensus building. A lot was said about lines in the sand. So, while James gave the gun grabbing machine lots of ammo, he also inspired some dialog from the good guys.   Finally, James borrows a brain from his attorney, and comes out with a message that's in line with the roughly formed concensus. "It's not time." To me, that doesn't mean "Take my guns and pass the granola".

The full size M&P 45 is a real nice shooter. A 45 is just going to have more recoil than a 9. I usually carry a Glock 36.

If I had to bet money, that suspension came from a lot higher up. It could have easily been Haslam's office, or maybe even higher. I doubt seriously that a DOS desk jockey pulled the trigger.
