  They did it to get his attention. It worked. I would bet my own money that his lawyer will get him thru this in a hurry. In my feeble opinion, the state needs a way to shut down a carry permit quickly. If he gets his permit back, what's the harm. No other action would have been as gentle.   We don't know the internal mechanisms, or really anything else about this deal. I'm personally glad they didn't go get him.
