  I have an accustrut one mine. Mine has the newer tapered barrel. I think it improved things some. The improvement is more dramatic on the pencil barrels. Last time I shot mine for accuracy, I was getting a little over 1" groups. I kinda lost interest after that.

  Don't know if you can do any of that with a mini. The stock terminates in the gas block, so there's no free floating. Not sure about bedding either because of the operating rod, and the way the fire control group attaches to the barreled action.

  Every poll I've seen. I don't think they're done driving us crazy just yet. I DO think some of the sanity of our massage is sinking in. I don't see as much whining from libta... errr liberals in my circles. They need something shiny to divert their attention, like some evil chicken people.   The grabbers are still gearing up for a big fight. We haven't seen much of it yet, but it's coming.

You can overdo anything. Dremel polishing with a felt wheel and rouge is pretty common practice. I do it, but am real careful in the process, and do it under magnification. Polishing anything is pretty rare for me. Doesn't happen unless I'm addressing a problem.

The "universal background check' issue is polling really high. I agree that it may get some steam. I think Slick Willie's message to Democrats will have some weight. People like Feinstein can do what they want. A lot of Dems in the Senate and the House can't. They can lose their jobs over voting for gun bans.   Gun control has questionable results. They don't really impact crime stats. Can't say the same about gun bans. They kill Democrats.

  I have some complaints about my Lee turret press. But, it would be hard to live without it.

FFP jumps the price, but worth it to me. I have a couple of SFP high power cheapies now, but want something that makes range calc easy. I haven't settled on anything yet, but know it could hit 2 K pretty easily. I plan to stay inside 1000 yards.

Some of the die sets come with a shell holder. You may be good to go. The sizing die deprimes the case.   BTW... if you don't have calipers, you need to get some. Gotta have them

Yep. I read a piece on that earlier. Unfortunately, the Obamites are probably too power drunk to heed his warning. I agree that Obama has already done damage to his party. Hopefully, most of this will fail (I think they're gonna get the background checks), and we'll have a good midterm to boot.

i liked the debt ceiling "cave". You don't have to pass a budget, but you don't get paid until you do. I think that will get some public support.

Welcome. We have a bunch of reloaders on here, and casters too.

Everybody needs to support the NRA. They stood up and took a lot of flak when this all started, and they're gonna stick by their guns. Folks need to put away their petty grievances and just join if they haven't already. We can write Lamar with our cheesey form letters until we're blue in the face, but they can get him on the phone.
