  1.   I read that when it came out. It's not their position now. Just not sure it will matter anyway. A large block of people have to be against it, and I don't know if that block is there.
  2. Obammy is pushing this thru his Organizing for Idiots campaign too. Background checks only. Since we kinda expected this even before their gift massacre, I sure wouldn't be surprised if it passes now.
  3.   There is already at least one lawsuit in New York that I'm aware of.
  4.   I'm not getting that out of any NRA folks. From Chris Cox on Wednesday...   Right now, we need to prove to every Senator on Capitol Hill that American gun owners are UNITED and READY TO FIGHT against any freedom-killing proposal to ban our guns, ban our magazines, criminalize private firearms transfers, or force us to register our firearms. And that means letting both of your U.S. Senators hear from YOU. It means calling them and flooding their offices with emails.
  5.   He was for about 3 days. He has an itchy holster :)
  6.   A month? He must really really like it, then. :)
  7.   I love wood furniture. I have a few with really nice stocks. The problem for me... I wind up being really careful not to scratch them up. Plastic stocks, I don't care so much.
  8.  Ditto. I still have a bunch of their 230's
  9. It's a fully assembled bolt
  10. I may have been overcome by a little case of the creeps too if i hadn't spent a little time chewing the fat with those guys when they first opened. When you think about it, you're going to give them lots of personal info when you actually make the purchase. I'm one of these guys that puts my SSN on the 4473 to speed things up and cut down on errors.   Seems to me that those guys made a simple mistake of not informing you first. I'll bet money that they would be willing to add that step as a matter of policy, especially if they saw this thread.
  11.   I may have too. I had already gone the Gresham route before I heard about the Arfcom deal. Fact is, the Gresham deal was real painless. They answered the phone in the first couple of rings.
  12.   You know that they're gonna give that info to the UN. Then... here come the helicopters. So, now you're out $10k for a Barrett light fifty to shoot those sumbitches down. It's a tangled web :)
  13.   Those two guys aren't scamming anything. There are two internet vendors that have scanned pictures of my drivers license. One is Aim Surplus. I may be crazy for giving it, but then again, I'm not paying a dollar a round for 223 either. Still have a couple thousand left from my last Aim purchase.
  14. Wow. I've been in that place. Two nice guys (brothers) that are pretty new to the gun business. I doubt seriously that they are up to no good. I sure am glad we're not a paranoid bunch like the LIBeral reTARDS say we are.
  15.   He won't neuter mine. I have a BIG pile o' mags :)
  16.   Did I say rational? Do you think only Republicans own guns?
  17. It's safe to say that he LOST the support of a lot of gun owners. What a dumbass.
  18.   The mag ban is going to impact the BIG crowd... all the handgunners. Is it worth it to a politician?
  19.   I know, and the fight will be mag bans. Lots of political damage for very little good. Still a ban, and will still get folks unseated. I'm with OhShoot. I think the background checks will pass.
  20.   Are you sayin' they kill one ban outright, and another one has a chance a month later? I'm not saying the fight is over. Just saying that they have one shot at bans. Harry doesn't want it coming up at all. My money says it won't after it fails once.
  21.   This entire gun banning mess is favoring a good GOP midterm. Reid wants this whole mess to go away. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they rush it through committee, and throw it onto the floor for a ceremonial killing. The longer they drag this out, the worse it's gonna be for the Demwits. Just my opinion, o' course.
  22.   Couple of ways to look at that. The people that will throw them out of office ARE the people they are supposed to represent. We allow our politicians to be scumbags. Sometimes we make an exception, like their votes on gun bans.
  23. When it dies, this boy is going to do some of the loudest, most obnoxious dick wagging in the history of the art! I may wait until the mag ban dies too, or I may not.
  24.   Unless you add an adjustable gas block with an Off position. It's just hard for me personally to justify a bolt gun for any caliber that will run in an AR-15. It gets easier with more powerful calibers.
