  Has nothing to do with taking control. How does the pilot know where he is? If the GPS on the drone is wrong, then the pilot is wrong too, unless he swoops down and reads a water tower.

  Not talking about that. GPS is GPS. You don't try to control it. You lie to it about its location. Remember Selective Availability? It was part of the GPS system until Slick Willie turned it off. It degraded the accuracy of the GPS system for civilian use. AFIK, the military doesn't have their own GPS satellites yet.

  Those things use GPS so they know their location. Satellite transmitters have relatively low power because they're sustained by solar panels, and have serious weight constraints to boot. Replacing those GPS signals from the ground isn't that hard. I'm betting they have already done some workarounds.

  1. A buttload of RF at close to the right frequencies. They probably have a backup guidance program in case they lose their link. You may not crash it, but you can probably disrupt its mission.

  An EMP event can't be worldwide. It has a footprint. Even inside the footprint, it's not going to fry everything with a wire. There simply isn't enough energy available from the blast. That kind of destruction probably comes only from a global nuclear war. In that case, gas won't be much of a problem.

  It looks like it may lock the BCG so you can fire one round. Then, you would have to unfold and charge the rifle. Kinda silly to me, when an AK or Mini 14 are both fully functional with a folded stock.

  Possible. You've been around here long enough to know that we speculate on everything until the facts come out. With that said, some of us have been the angry husband, the one being chased by an angry husband, or both. Those experiences give you some perspective.

I'm not a lawyer. So far, I've been real impressed with Zimmerman's defense team. I view the prosecution as a bunch of thugs. Until I'm proven wrong, my money is on O'Mara and Co. to win. As I read it, they're not giving up on the "stand your ground" defense. Just manipulating the schedule, which is part of the strategy.

Those of us that have enough to arm our friends and put up a good scrap. If it ever really flys apart to the point that everybody is driven by survival instinct, the real meat eaters are gonna survive. BTW... what are we gonna do with a Prius? I guess we can...
