  1. Bill Ruger can kiss my ass.
  2.   I thought it was 1 mile. I believe you're right though. It's been awhile since I've seen it on a box.
  3. Don't pick on the commies. They're sensitive :)
  4.   Actually, the math supports what you're saying (did a little playing this morning). If you push a 9 over standard pressure, it gets right up there with a 45 in muzzle energy. The energy drops faster with the lighter bullet, but not a factor inside 25 yards. The extra velocity will certainly help expansion. Time to play with some hot 9mm loads as soon as ammo availability recovers. I'll probably play with .357 SIG as well.   OK... I'm done jacking the thread now :)
  5.   That's it. They can shoot the P22 and get used to the recoil (as a first time shooter), and then go straight to a G19 without flinching. That's about the only time that one comes out of the safe. I have several .22's, but never shoot them.
  6. Physics??? Oh no! :)
  7.   Best I can tell, it doesn't shoot near as well as the Rugers or Brownings. It's cute enough. I didn't actually buy mine. It just showed up. I use it to teach girls to shoot pistols. I let them run a couple of mags thru it before i hand them a real gun :)
  8. Well, we all get to believe what we want. I've been dealing with 9mm for 30+ years. I have no problem with the round, but it would take a +P to get close to the powder charge behind a 45acp. I like the big lead... call me old fashioned.
  9. So, I wasting my time with that 230 grain bullet?
  10.   Oops. You're right. I thought they were Ruger parts.
  11. You can get firing pins and bolt parts. Just not the fire control parts. More Ruger weirdness. I agree the rifle has soul. I love mine. Just wouldn't have it instead of an AR again. I actually owned it before any AR's.
  12. It ain't the size of the ship. It's the motion of the ocean :). Now, can I get some of that grant money?
  13.   Can't buy the Ruger parts. That was the point. I have plenty of AR parts.
  14.   No need to suffer that pinch. I fixed mine. Yep, a standard 45 bullet weights exactly twice as much as a standard 9mm bullet. I have 9mm, 40, and 45. The 45 has a much better social life than the others.
  15. Magpul's Latest...   With the signing of the HB 1224, we want to reassure Colorado residents, now officially in occupied territory, that the "Boulder Airlift" will continue until we can no longer legally ship to CO residents at the approach of the July 1 deadline, so long as demand continues. We are looking at additional ways to give Coloradans the opportunity to buy the magazines they need prior to the enactment date, as although we've been swamped with tens of thousands of orders, our shipping department limitations have only allowed us to get a few hundred thousand magazines out to CO residents...a small portion of our monthly production. We'll continue to support the Airlift as long as demand exists, and up to the active date of the legislation, and we've allocated a little over a million magazines for the effort up to that point, give or take. Customers in the rest of the country should rest assured that the airlift only takes a small portion of our production, and magazines and other products are continuing to ship to the rest of the nation. Our transition to a new home will occur in a phased and orderly a manner to allow us to continue to serve our customers during the move, as well as to allow an orderly transition for affected employees. We are actively working on those plans.
  16. I have a bunch of the cheesey ones. Never even tried them, because I have a couple of Ruger 30's and one 20.
  17.   The key to Mini mags is simple. Buy Ruger. They're proud of 'em.
  18.   Mag changes on a mini are pretty clunky compared to an AR too.
  19. AR-15 all the way. I own both, and really like the Mini. I just wouldn't have it as my only rifle. If you break something in the fire control group, you'll be sending the whole gun back to Ruger. You can buy any AR part off the internet. In my opinion, the AR is MUCH easier to clean and maintain. They shoot better too. That why I own five of them... all home brewed.   I don't know if my AR's will eat Jonnin's reloads, but they love mine :). They also like Wolf a lot.
  20.   Those sorry SOB's aren't done threatening us yet.
  21. Love it. Posted on Facebook so the Libtards can learn :)
  22. Apparently, they haven't seen the new Red Dawn movie. Got their asses kicked by a deer rifle and some teenagers.
  23. I use graphite in a spray can. It eliminates static electricity on plastic parts (so powder doesn't stick), and won't contaminate the powder.
  24. Just note that there are two AutoDisk models. The Pro is great. The cheaper one... not so great.
