  1.   If it's that scarce, wouldn't the market price eventually get to the point that they wouldn't waste it on balloons anyway? The good news is that helium is probably the most stable element in the periodic table. It won't react with anything. So... there's as much helium now as there ever was.   BTW... I'm glad the Amarillo area is making some contribution to the world. I spent some time there, and left wondering why it was there at all.
  2.   C. Does he really think that he accomplished anything? The Tea Party is there to keep assholes like him from ruining the country.
  3.    Yep. They're pretty friendly creatures.
  4.   Gonna be some different tooling. Standard height was a no brainer. I figure it might come along if the market is big enough.
  5. You can pressure cook beans in an old bomb casing. Let the feds figure that one out!
  6.   That's what I was thinking
  7. I like. Of course, I would have to replace perfectly good MBUS sights to find a place on one of my rifles.
  8.   That's why I go through and toss them. If I had a large quantity, I would probably load them and just keep them seperate.
  9.   I throw them away when I find them.
  10.   Alex has a whole different way of reading a document. Drink a half can of zippo lighter fluid and read it again. You will see the light :)
  11. I can wait.
  12.   I actually gave a Winchester 333 box of .22 to a buddy a few weeks ago. I'm kinda low on 22, but never shoot it. I always shoot center fire when I manage to get to a range. I'll buy some more 22 when it shows back up. I'm holding out for mini mags.
  13. I have ammo running outa my butt. I'm just here to watch the cat fight :).
  14.   I don't think the states can reach across the line. Anyway, I'm not campaigning for it. Just saying what I know about it, since my company went thru an audit years ago.   BTW... I've been expecting something like this for years.
  15.   I understand all that. In this case though, it's existing law. The state could force you to pay the tax if they had a record of the transaction.
  16. You're legally required to pay sales tax on everything. It's just easy to avoid on out-of-state purchases. My company pays sales tax on EVERYTHING, even on out of state purchases. The state is more inclined to audit a company. Nothing more painful than paying a few years worth of back sales taxes on millions of dollars worth of purchases.   Nobody likes paying the taxes, but it's not a new tax. It's always been the law. They've just figured out how to enforce it. It will take away some of the incentive to buy out of state instead of locally. We've all done it. It's cost + shipping + transfer fee vs. cost + sales tax when you're buying a gun. From a politician's perspective, he'll be helping the in-state businesses by removing that advantage as well as getting some uncollected revenue. At the same time, he's voting against something we all love, but still illegal.
  17. Sure would be cool to get Grandpa's Model 15 for 50 bucks, though. I'll do that all day long.
  18.   Yep. When they catch Habib making bombs, they need to toss him into a vat of bacon grease and set it on fire. No virgins for you.
  19. They wound up pretty much giving the whole recipe for the Boston Marathon bombs. With that said, a determined individual will find the means. The problem is bad guys, Christine.
  20. It wouldn't bug me so much if they ground up a bunch of Jennings 380's. Grinding up an S&W revolver is a tragedy.
  21. I would like to know the inside scoop on what happens to all the guns. How dumb do you have to be to pay 50 bucks, and then grind up a gun that's worth hundreds? I'm sure they get a lot of the Ring of Fire crap, but get some good ones as well.
  22.   NO! It's not their fault. They were ruined by guns and Jesus. Just ask President Peanut Head.
  23. Congrats! And so, it begins... :)
  24. If you were my boy, I would slap the shit outa you.
  25.   I'm betting Jan laughed her ass off if she saw it. She doesn't have much use for our POS president.
