  1. OK... I didn't get the Cryo. I got the ZT0561 instead. As I was looking at it, Google sent me to a Mav review on TGO. I figure if he liked it that much, I will too. $209, no tax, no shipping. Thanks to Mav for helping me spend my money :)   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/47535-zt-0561-hinderer-warning-pic-heavy/
  2. From what I'm reading, the Cryo is a $30 knife. As with most Chinese stuff, the QC is kinda all over the place. Haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. It's cool, though. Hinderer design.   Of course, in digging up that info, I kept dragging up the ZT 0560. That's a helluva knife. Knowing me, my eyes will pop open in the wee hours, and I'll drop the $2XX for the good one.
  3. I'm looking at the Kershaw Cryo as a cheap-but-cool knife to just scatter around. I don't do much heavy cutting. I'm sure I'll wind up with some higher end knives too. I'll never get to the level of Kong or Willis. My guns eat too much of my disposable money. I can see myself owning a Sebensa class knife or two.
  4. I sure will be glad when they jump in their Volvos and come after our guns. That herd needs thinnin'. :)
  5.   That has been my thought, but this thing really did "work" with a plastic barrel. You can do a lot to drop the pressure by just loostening up the bore. The example of shooting a 50 BMG in a 12 ga. is a good one. I don't think the goal was an effective weapon. It was to make a bunch of liberals piss their pants. I think it worked. :)
  6.   Yep. The thumb studs are pretty useless on the ZT, but the flipper is a thing of beauty. Since I'm a greenhorn, it doesn't bother me. I'm not used to thumb studs anyway. As popular as the 0350 is, I'm betting they won't change it.
  7.   I saw the Benchmade in a TGO thread awhile back, and it caught my eye. I'm afraid it may have triggered a new disease :).
  8.   Amazon for $148.
  9.   Macgyver wasn't kidding. The blade deploys with some authority. The Benchmade doesn't have any spring assist, and requires a little wrist flick. It's real quiet when it deploys, and a lot easier to close. Real smooth knife.
  10. I've been known to play with a few guns, but never really messed with any cool knives. I decided to dip my toe in the water and grab a couple. I did do some looking before I ordered, and bought one because of rave reviews from TGO knife geeks. The first is a ZT0350, and the second is a Benchmade Ball Axis Flipper. They look real similar, but are very different knives. Not sure which one I like better yet. I do think the the Benchmade looks a little sexier. Anyway, here they are...
  11. I just got mine. NICE piece of hardware. Tomorrow, I'm sharpening every blade in the house.
  12.   Some of this stuff may actually stick. I'm kinda with Rumsfeld on this. You have Piers and Jon Stewart bitchin' about Obama, and even the MSNBC idiot has lost his tingle.
  13. Canned response, but a pretty good one. I got the same one today.
  14.   I use Strip Lulas for the AR and Mini 14. Fast!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLCRJka3CN0
  15. Good choice, and the BEST mag loader in the world.
  16.   Well, he won't get his 3 million bucks. I hope he breaks even. I  figure the judge will decide that.
  17.   I'll get Dolomite to make me something with his lathe and something he got from Walmart :)   BTW... the liberals are already itchy around me. They've seen me in my assortment of NRA T-shirts AND my Hero Gear zombie shirt. Besides, they're all Facebook friends, and are all well aware of the fact that I would like to bitch slap Obama with a big rubber dildo.
  18.   OK... just had an OCD attack and ordered a ZT0350 too. Gonna have to figure out how to mount one or the other on my Glock, 'cause I'm out of hands. :)
  19. Can't we just shoot the next 10 people that propose any new laws? :)
  20. I don't know. Personally, I started my girlfriend with a P22, simply because it was the first pistol she ever shot. The moved her to a 9mm, and then to a 1911. During he first session, I also let her shoot an LCP. She loved the 9mm. was OK with the 1911, and hated the 380.
  21. Nice work! And, a new human condition... Glock nipple :)
