  1.   Sure, he's driving traffic. It's also made for a real good thread. I figure we'll hear something soon. It's David's deal. I can live with whatever he decides.
  2.   They're aware of it now. I've been aware of Andrew's book all along. I'm gonna buy it just to pay him back for his contribution to TGO. Besides, it's probably a good read.
  3. Ok... glad we have the Daves on this. It's been reported. I don't think anybody should advertise for free either. I also think Andrew isn't trying to drum up TN legal business either. Doubt that he's licensed here.
  4.   Me too :). It's all good. I follow Andrew on Facebook as well.
  5.   Yes. We're being totally unfair to the other authors on the vendor list. Oh wait. Hell, I'll report it if you can't find the button. DONE
  6. I deal with EMPs all the time. Lightening striking a 1400 ft tower makes a real good 'un.
  7.   Second addition. Like I said... tattle to the mods, and get it over with.   and BTW, I don't think anybody should be able to advertise for free. I just think that there's a way to deal with it. Andrew educated a lot of TGO members on this case. I know you're the exception. Again... report it. Ain't your job to fix it.
  8.   VERY significant contributions to this forum, maybe?
  9.   Stick 'em in an ammo can and call it a day
  10.   Are you the hall monitor? Report the post, and let the mods handle it.
  11.   That may be an accidental post. AFIK, that book was for sale before Andrew showed up here. In fact, the first edition came out in 1998.
  12.   It's about time somebody came out with that.
  13.   Looks to be a lot more effective than the TSA's nut fondling program.
  14. Good luck getting me to comply with that one. I have skills, and I'll use them for non-compliance. Friggin' useless commies.
  15.   That's because the crimp (as you know) helps to normalize the shot start pressure. Lots of folks get improved accuracy with a crimp.
  16.   Ah. Comrades in douchebaggery. I LOVE the Internet! :)
  17.   The Lee is the best. It does require another stroke on the press if you're not using a progressive. It's just lots gentler on the brass than the roll crimp in the seating dies
  18.   Adjustable guides and variable speed are biggies. The regular Worksharp is fast enough to burn your edge if you're not careful. Of course, Ken has the skill to get a perfect edge just free handing on a belt grinder. I won't live long enough to have those skills. If my only choice was a bench stone, I would send all of mine to a service. I even suck with the Spyderco.
  19.   Yep. Back when men were men, and the sheep were nervous :)
  20.   No shit. :) ZT is trying to move to detents in their newer assisted knives, like the 566. I assume they'll do the same on the Kershaw side. Lots of folks want manual. I'm still wet behind the ears with this knife stuff. I have several Speedsafe knives, but kinda prefer the manuals. My ZT 550 and 561 don't need springs.
  21.   I won't get rid of mine. There's a Ken Onion version coming out. I won't get rid of mine. It's still one of the best/fastest ways to get a sharp edge. I just can't get real consistent results, 'cause I'm spastic. I'll use the Edge Pro for my good knives. It's a lot more expensive, and a lot slower.    When it comes to sharpening everything else, my Worksharp will get lots of use.
  22. I can't think of any reason not to. I crimp everything with Lee FCD's except .458 SOCOM. The .458 is a custom die, and I'll eventually have one. Setback us ugly, no matter where you find it..
