  Yep. There's no real evidence, but there's an extra deep pile of BS to wade thru. It's also a real possibility that the jury could get hung the other way.

Just showed up today. This is the only camo item I own, but liked it better than the other offerings. As others have said, it's a big knife. I got no problem with that :). Loving it so far... Here it is with a couple of my bigger folders. It's the lightest of the three by a good amount.

That will get the neighbors under control :). There's a bowie on my list too. Haven't done much digging yet. I really like this one. Good find!

All it really takes is one. If the jury is hung, I doubt that there will be a new trial.

  Experience matters :) I've done a whole lot more drinking than shooting. I don't drink much these days, but still know that I may get clumsy and forgetful, but I don't get stupid. Anyway, the guns stay out, and I don't play with them when I'm drinking. If I ever feel that I have to lock them away, I'll just quit drinking.

  So, your trigger discipline goes out the window when you drink? I don't shoot, clean guns, or anything else that requires a lot of focus when I'm drinking. That doesn't mean I'm going to disarm myself as soon as I open a beer. I'm real good at not accidentally pulling a trigger. 30+ years of practice, I guess :)

  I agree that the cop was dickish. Doesn't change the fact that the guy was looking for a response, and got it. The cop quit being a dick once the interaction got squared away.

If you're inclined to do something stupid with a gun, then you shouldn't have a gun. If you're inclined to do something stupid while you're drinking, then you shouldn't drink. I'm not going to lock my guns away from myself when I open a beer. Never have, and never will. I don't "carry" at home. There's just always something within reach.   That's just me. Some folks turn into idiots when they drink. If you need to be restrained, do it.
