  This one was pretty gray. You had a lawyer bringing lots of expertise to the hottest topic on TGO. He was careful to keep any direct promotion off the site until the end. Who knows if that last post was another cut and paste error, or a hail mary because of the end of the trial. That's why I reported it. It was up to David to either make an exception, or crack down. Who knows where it went from there. All we know is that Andrew stopped posting... some justice for Trayvon :).   Anyway, it was gray (IMO) because that book kickoff didn't compete with any vendor on this site. But, it's not my decision. My guess is that david would have stuck to the letter of the vendor rules. 

  Andrew and I exchanged PM's early on about promoting his book. I told him he would catch hell for promoting the book without vendor status. He even posted some promotional info in one post due to a cut and paste error, and then edited it after it was posted. I valued his input. For those that are on the liberal side of this issue, I'm sure his contribution was worthless. I appreciated it... a lot. He is an expert in the field, and did a helluva job with the analysis.

  I think I can name a couple of folks that didn't follow any of the nuisance links.

  Just be sure to get the Lancer Warfighters. The standard Lancers ain't anything special. The followers tilt. The followers in the Warfighter mags work just like PMAGS.

  Technically, I think it's sport if they're using gloves, even tho' an ass whippin' is a typical outcome.

  What damage? Aside from the Richard and TMF thing, I only recall a lot of typical TGO debate. We all went over and above the call of duty when it came to supporting our own opinions. It's what we do. When it comes to my opinion of fellow TGO folks, I don't think anything has changed. 

I should add that when I do manage to piss somebody off, I take a close look at myself, especially if it's somebody that doesn't normally get pissed off.

I didn't know that a delay was required on a live TV set. I'm not a TV guy. We delay our audio in radio so we can trap profanity from guests and callers. No doubt that this got past some folks at the TV station. What amazes me more is the response from the feds. A summer intern did it, but he really didn't do it. We don't know who really did it. They don't even try to hide their incompetence any more.

  The FCC certainly isn't going to revoke their license over that. In fact, they didn't break any FCC rules. The FCC isn't the PC police.
