Last time I bought a new revolver, I tried to buy a Taurus. They look good, and the price is right. But, I walked out with a Smith and Wesson. The Taurus was sloppy compared to the S&W. I'm betting you will come to the same conclusion if you go fondle them in person. -

Reckon you should get some reloading gear with the rest of us heathens? .458 SOCOM is what got me started. It was 3 bucks per round back 8-10 years ago. I learned to appreciate the word Limbsaver too, BTW.

For a SHTF situation, my 22's are staying in the safe. And everything semi auto. THE mag? Don't ever buy one of anything.

There are some pretty crappy boaters around here. I'm a Model 36 fan too. I owned a 2" in the 70's and sold it. Looked for a replacement for years, and finally bought one here on TGO. I won't ever sell this one.

I have a P22 and a Buckmark. No complaints with either. The P22 is a lot lighter, and easier to carry. It likes Minimags.

I have a Crosman full auto BB gun with an Eotech and light for yard critters. I can't use a real AR in my neighborhood. I'm pretty sure it will take out a rabbit in one burst if you're close enough.

Maybe so. But, there have been some amazing saves by "average" citizens. And, the "average" argument against arming people is, "don't shoot at the shooter 'cause somebody may get shot. If you think about that one for a minute, it's pretty dumb. Use a pair of scissors, they say. -

Kill the shooter. It's that simple. It ain't for everybody. That teacher can be a preacher's daughter, or an Army Ranger. Right now, an ex Army Ranger has to let some nut go room to room, and wait for his turn to die, where he's more than capable of killing the threat.
