  1.   That's a great light. I have one. It will snap onto the rail of one of my Glocks, or one of my AR's. If you hit somebody in the face with the beam in a dark room, they're going to be blinded for a few seconds. Warning... don't shine it into a mirror :)
  2.   I'm too spastic to do freehand sharpening, even with a Sharpmaker. I can get them sharp, but they look like it was done by a wobbly old geezer. :) My favorite quick and dirty is my Worksharp. It's just a baby belt grinder. I won't use it on my good knives, though.   Still, it's kinda like mil dot math. You need to know how to do it in case you get caught without your cool toys. You can sharpen a knife on the bottom of a coffee cup, or a brick if you have the skills.
  3.   The factory edge can be off too. With a fixed angle sharpener, the odds of hitting dead on every time are slim, so you wind up doing some reprofiling. As long as you use a sharpie on the edge to see where the stone is hitting, you can grind enough away to get there.
  4.   You sure you wanna hear the answer to that? :)    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LJTRb59retI
  5. One of the guys at the Reloader's Bench shoots .338 Lapua. Costs him $3 per round for reloads, with his discounts.
  6.   I have eaten there several times. It was always good.
  7.   You can shoot hadjis at 1000 yards with a .308. You just don't get the exploding effect :)
  8. One of those calibers you really wanna reload. .458 SOCOM is 3 bucks per round.
  9.   Black Hills with 77 SMK is right on the money from my 24" gun. I know it's rare.
  10.   Actually spin (as a result of twist). That's a Barnes solid bullet. So, if you figure a realistic velocity of 6000 fps, you would want to half the twist rate to get the same spin as a 3000 fps bullet. I'm thinking 1:18 would rock.
  11. Well... the Homeland Stupidity boys may have beefed some stuff up. I don't think jamming is a real problem. It's been years since I've chewed the fat with those guys.
  12.   They don't monitor constantly. Interference is pretty rare AFIK. I've worked with those guys chasing interference a few times. That's why I own an aircraft receiver. They don't start looking until they hear a complaint from a pilot or the control tower. I'm not familiar with all their systems. I just know that when I've been involved, they heard one of my radio stations in their stuff.
  13.   They're my two favorites
  14. Introducing the .22 Dolomite. :)
  15.   Actually, I think technology has made the gear less expensive, but the price stayed kind flat over the years.
  16. I like the Ulize, but am shying away from any more recurves. Being a Ken Onion fan, I'll wind up with a few more anyway.
  17. You mean one of these? :)
  18.   Childish! That's why I like him :)
  19. Knife center will let you preorder it. It took me a month to the day between preorder and when it shipped. BladeHq had some last week, but they're long gone now. I would just do the preorder.   http://www2.knifecenter.com/kc_new/store_store.html?ttl=Spyderco%20Para%20Military&cat=sp&k=para&series=632&
  20.   Yes, they are. I really like the lock design. May be the strongest thing out there.
  21.   It will take me awhile to catch up to you. I still don't have anything that will lop the head off a cow :)   I'm close to done with the Spydies. Nothing else really lights me up, except for maybe the Police.
  22. I'll put up a crappier pic later. It looks just like this. These have been hard to find. Mine was on order for a month.
  23.   Nah. Ben made videos. Only two adjustments. Knife guide and angle. Willis turned me on to it. LOTS of folks use it... knife geeks, professional sharpeners, and chef types. There's even a Nut N Fancy video on it, and he's an idiot :)     http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=CY6DJ0PQxyA
