  1.   Depends on how many of us old guys die off before they get our money :)
  2.   No need for a military anymore, now that Oblamma is rimming the head knocker in Iran. He's gonna use his dynamic personality and wiggly tongue to render all armed conflict obsolete. :)
  3. I doubt that they let it last very long.  Being classed non-essential wouldn't bother me personally. I think folks might be amazed how small it could get if they were just carrying out the founders' vision.
  4.   Blk is fun stuff.
  5. The 300 is a really cool caliber. With that said, it won't slap the shit outa Bambi like the 458. Don't forget though, you have to mill out the ejection port on a stock upper receiver to make it work with the SOCOM. One of the reasons to go with an assembled upper. You also want to go with carbine gas on the next one. H110 is probably the bestest powder for .458, but can have a problem cycling a middy. I use Reloader 7 in all mine, based on a consensus from our buddies on the .458 SOCOM forum.
  6.   But, that happens in all bottle necks. The sizing die sets the headspace. I know there was a problem early on. I'm just wondering if it was bad dies or bad setup. With my Hornady die, it bottoms out on the shell holder, and there's no room for error. I can see something happening if you're roll crimping in the seating die. I don't do that.   I know you warned me about it when I first started messing with the caliber. I've just never seen it with my setup. I've killed a few cases trying to pull bullets. It's damn near impossible without damaging that dinky rim. Could just be real tight neck tension with my sizer.
  7.   I know. But it was the same problem, and I have sized a BUNCH of the 458 cases, both new and fired brass. For as big as they are, they're easy to size. It's hard to screw up that part of the process with the 458.
  8.   I have never had one stick since that one at D&T. That one could have been a bullet seated too long as well. I haven't tried that, but the rifling is gonna be real grippy if you shove a bullet into it. It won't let the case rotate, so you're working against the force of the extractor and ejector gripping the rim.
  9.   I don't know how that can happen, either. I know it does from that episode at D&T. My brass is perfect when it comes out of the sizing die. Never had a round fail the chamber gauge in that caliber.
  10.   .458's are notorious for breaking those with just recoil.
  11.   Rightwinger and me went thru the same thing at D&T arms with a .458 SOCOM. I think it was actually my rifle. Loaded a dummy round that was made by a customer. When you get one stuck in that gun, it's really stuck. Get you one of these...   http://www.sbrammunition.com/reloading.html
  12.   I figured that when you asked. Gonna be some zeros :)
  13. I already have a Blackout. Love that caliber.
  14. 6.5 Grendel is next for me. It will be my 4th caliber in the AR-15 platform. The Grendel is a true long range caliber. AFIK, the only long range caliber for the AR, if you don't count 90gr .223.   For those that aren't aware, the Grendel is based on the 6.5 mm PPC, which is the basis for the 6mm BR and 6mm Dasher. Cool stuff.
  15. Ammo is easy. The parent case is .223. You won't be out of ammo as long as you know me :)
  16. He's gonna need a detailed inventory and a starting price if he's going to move the whole load. Probably doesn't matter what state he's in. If he sells the whole thing out of state, it will just have to go thru an FFL.
  17.   But... doing stupid shit is a God given right, right?
  18.   Sho' 'nuff. The ONLY thing he accomplished was going directly to the people that can ban guns, and did his best to convince them that they should bring it up again. Feinstein can't get it done, so by all means, let's do it to ourselves.
  19.   I doubt it, since he's one of the guys that piled on Cruz. In fact, I think the love may have gone away the first time Krispy gave Obama a rim job on national TV.
  20. That's cool, Spots. I'm guessing the rust ate all the markings. I'm kinda with 380... it may be a real one. Get Leroy to look at it. He's into those old Navies.
  21. Are you a muppet swede? :-)
  22.   No shirt
  23. I borked a flarken once. Sumbitch screamed bloody murder :)
  24.   I want to see the polls when everybody figures out he was right about Obamacare. It's coming, sooner or later.
