  The Grendel, if I build it, will be wound up pretty tight. I'll build it to shoot 600+ yards. It will be spendy, and probably take awhile for the barrel.

I ordered an upper and lower. Still thinking hard about a Grendel. I think that takes a different bolt. Right now, I have enough AR's to whip a small drug cartel. I'll probably take my time on this one.

  Be sure to check stock with model one before you order. I ordered a barrel assembly for the A2 I just built. They emailed me a few days later and told me it would be 6 months. I cancelled the order, but wasted a few days while they got around to letting me know. Just call them. Their web site doesn't show stock status

  It's a 16". 1:8 barrel... exactly what AAC specifies.

  David just calls me when my stuff shows up. We've been thru a few of them. Never the slightest glitch. I figure he'll pop in and say something as it gets closer.

  My FFL, D&T, knows exactly what to do when a lower shows up with my name on it :). Seriously, I always drop them an email or call so they'll be looking out for it. It's a good idea to give them your phone number at the same time. I'm sure we'll get some notification when they start shipping.

Shelby's chili is great stuff. I normally do it a little different, but will give this a try next.

I shot some CLP down a gas tube once. Interesting effect when I shot the gun. It lubed everything :)

I have installed a couple of lo profiles. I just don't remember for sure

  Not sure that's true for lo profile gas blocks, that are never used with that retainer. You need to measure.

Mark the barrel and the gas block with a pencil while you CAN see the holes. Be real persnickety and accurate.
