  1.   Now THAT's why you're on my Christmas card list! Good trick.
  2. I have the the shell holders for .223. I can adjust my die without them. Waste of money for me
  3. I think the Redding S series pretty much tops it out. I have them for .223 as well. I just don't use them for blaster stuff.    They kinda go along with a Shilen barrel...   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/943523/redding-type-s-match-bushing-2-die-set-65-grendel
  4.   I always tighten the shit out of my Hogue grips.
  5.   Don't Pay Redding Stupid Money Anonymous? The thing that pisses me off... they won't even work until I order neck bushings. I just wanted to lock them in so I didn't get hit with another long wait.
  6. Ordered the dies.
  7. A little dinkin' around in Quickload...
  8.   They did drive a box down to UPS for me one afternoon because they screwed up an overnight order. Refunded the shipping charges too. Now, if I can just figure out how to redeem my Larry bucks. I could use them when I pop for those Redding dies :)
  9. 600 is pretty easy. I'm still playing with the ballistics. The BC's are high. I wanted to push to 1000, but may or may not fall a little short with a 20. There are guys shooting much longer barrels in the caliber. Burn rates are gonna be whatever spits the bullet at the most velocity without kabooming the gun. I probably won't buy more than a box or two of factory stuff, and only if I can find it when I need it. The Larry elves should be slapping my name on a box o' brass right about now.   Looks like 26 grains of H335 is max load with a 123gr Scenar seated to mag length. That's with a 20" barrel. Any slower, and you start running out of case capacity with that bullet and OAL. Disclaimer: Quickload lies sometimes, but they usually not huge Obama type lies.   More... looks like it's gonna be between H322 and H335 in the Hogdon lineup, base on some load info I'm seeing out there
  10. First lick... Lite Rail shipped from BCM today. I love those guys!
  11.   They have a 20" Shilen as well. It's what I ordered. Even with a 20, it's gonna be good for a half mile, maybe even 1000 yards.
  12.   You should get one with a big fuzzy ball on it :) i got a Dremel tool that will fix that 15 dolla one.
  13.   Fiteen dolla...   http://www.primaryarms.com/Basic-Forward-Assist-Kit-Round-PA-FAK-RND-p/pa-fak-rnd.htm
  14. I have one of those RRA stocks in the box
  15.   I remember your LAR-8 wait. Those boys sure don't get excited. Great guns, though.
  16.   I want a 24. Just couldn't get one. In the end, long range comes down to barrel length. I haven't studied the Grendel enough yet. Get the Shilen. I know it's more money, but not enough more to make it out of reach.
  17.   Barrels are the biggie. At least you'll be able to come down the street and make some precision ammo for it. Time to build the reloading bench. The wood shop is fully functional now.
  18.   Yeah. Our sleepy friends at Rock River broke me in right on the SOCOM. I can wait if I have to :)
  19. Ok. I went ahead and ordered a barrel last night. Figured I might as well jump in the pile. I also ordered a Rifle length Daniel Defense Lite Rail for three reasons. BCM has them in stock for a true discounted price... 300 bucks. The Lite rail doesn't require you to index the barrel nut to the gas tube, so you set it for minimum torque. Sinclair now has a benchrest adapter that will lash up you a pic rail, so I can use my good rest and bag if I want. Ain't as taticool as a bipod, but sure is more comfortable to shoot at long range. I have the bipod and hardware too.   I also ordered some brass and a couple of mags. Still noodling reloading dies. I'll probably just pop for the Redding competition dies, since it looks like I'll be shooting Lapua brass anyway.   EDIT: BTW... the barrel is a 20" Shilen match barrel. It's a little shorter than I would like, but I have lots of faith in Shilen. Midway is saying December. Who knows when it will really ship. Since this thing is gonna be so expensive, I almost don't mind the wait.
  20.   If that happens, I'm going to Dolomite's house. He can make bullets out of stuff he got at Walmart.
  21.   Good thing I bought a bunch when it was available. I still have a box or two of unloaded new, and plenty of loaded ammo.
  22. Daniel Defense 12 rifle length Lite Rail on sale at BCM for 300 bucks
  23. He'll piss a liberal right off. Which is why these two got posted on Facebook along with few of his others, like this...    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBOMjZU-aCE   and this...   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFaCytKXOSQ
  24.   Damn man. I was thinking a potato cannon and a fresh sack of horse turds. You blew me out of the water :)
  25.   I want to take him on a canoe trip down the Chatooga River. I'll have some boys waiting in the woods. They'll start with a compliment about his purty mouth :)
