  1.   You can always get the uppers. I grabbed them with the group buy because they were cheaper, but at least they're not "one run and done" like the lowers.
  2.   The builds are gonna be easy peasy. One set will be built the day I get it, except for the barrel/handguard. The other is going in the safe
  3.   Yep. I wasn't gonna get excited about this one, and now I'm biting my nails. Good thing you've been trained by RRA. That barrel ain't gonna come fast.
  4. Well... I wasn't going to get excited about this. Now, I have parts piled in my living room floor. They look great!
  5. There's a TTSX available for the Grendel as well. You know that's gotta be a bambi slapper.
  6.   Alexander Arms likes AA2520. Varget is too slow. It will spit a projectile, but there's a velocity hit. I was focused on 120ish grain projectiles. Wound up buying 123g Lapua Scenars. Here ya go...   http://www.alexanderarms.com/images/pdfs/grendel_reloading.pdf
  7.   Geissele makes a bunch of different ones. Their cheapest is great. I bought their most expensive, but will be trying to hold under 1/2 MOA for long range shots. Can't imagine needing something quite that light for hunting. Look at their site. The prices on their web site are what you're gonna pay anywhere. Their triggers don't get discounted.
  8.   Button rifling is just a piece of tooling that's pulled through the bore, right? I wonder when these politicians are going to realize that they don't have near as much power over people as they think.
  9. They get real high marks. They're priced that way too. I looked at them before I bought the Geissele High Speed Match trigger last week.
  10.   Do they have Google in Florida? If so, Google Bhut Jolokia
  11.   Don't forget hammers, disconnectors, selectors, and drop-in auto sears. A guy can dream, right? :)
  12.   Nice avatar, BTW
  13.   Truth. But, you can go a long way with a VQ hammer. For all I know, there's a colony of bugs living a very peaceful life in the barrel of my 10/22 :)
  14. The only folks that are going to get lit up about this are the ones that freak out over GUNS!!! to begin with. I hope they all shit themselves to death.
  15. I can't do blazing hot anymore. But, that doesn't mean I don't have a little habanero juice in my veins right now. There's a reason they don't put a 3/4" mouth on a hot sauce bottle.
  16.   90% of the population can just buy a gun. In fact, 100% of the population can if they wanna break the law.
  17.   I'm just commenting on an article I didn't read :). Oops. point is... 300,000,000 guns in this country, and it probably doesn't make sense to panic over somebody being able to make one with their expensive gear.
  18. I thought a 3D metal printer was called a CNC mill. The paranoid Libtards would be entertaining if they weren't so dangerous.
  19. My crawl space walls are insulated, and it's vented. House was built that way. I bought it new. The only floor that's cold is the kitchen, which is ceramic. All the other floors are carpet, laminate, or vinyl tile.
  20. The Vortex PST is just right in the pocket for me. I really need 24X. Some eagle eye may be able to get by with a 16. It DOES make an adjustable stock more necessary, at least for me. They get pretty winky at 24X, no matter which brand.   A lot of the long range folks insist on Nightforce. I'm just not gonna pop for that. Once you get past a certain distance, the haze in the air becomes the limiting factor.
  21.   You can read it right here. Get the Vortex Viper PST 6-24X50 FFP, MOA version. Now, wasn't that easy? :)
  22.   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/1477164762/weaver-tactical-picatinny-style-riser-mount-ar-15-flattop   http://www.amazon.com/Weaver-Flat-Riser-Rail-20MOA/dp/B004NRVLVS
  23. Okie hasn't been shooting lately. We gotta catch up. Just haven't had time.   Fortunately, those PST's are pretty plentiful these days. Even saw the one I want on Ebay that only had one range trip on it. I'm planning to use Burris Tactical rings and a Weaver (I think) 20 MOA riser. I already have the hardware. Just have to pull it off my 223. Shooting that thing past 600 is a pain in the butt anyway.
  24.   I've settled on a Viper PST FFP for glass, and may get around to buying before I shoot the gun. If not, I'll start with the BSA. This ain't your average BSA scope. I won't be able to shoot any better with the Viper. We compared that thing with a Sightron and Leupold, both $1000ish scopes. I agree the rifle deserves better. Just sayin', the BSA was good enough to polish 1" dots off a steel plate at 400. Ask Okie... he was the designated dot painter :).   So... I'll use the snooty scope, and enjoy every minute of it. I just won't ever get rid of that BSA.
  25.   Nope. It is what it is.
