  I always add grease. No offense, but if there is a spec, I'll pay attention to it. Just the way I was raised. I have a lapping tool on the way now, which is another accepted way to control barrel nut torque. If you really lose the lottery, the torque will go out of spec on the high end before you ever get lined up. Lapping is the only fix for that, unless you want to set it at less than minimum torque.

  Yep. I bought the turret to load .45 acp. Then, figured out that it was a good solution for loading high volume AR ammo. I don't reload any rifle stuff that won't fit in an AR mag. The exception is .223 with long bullets, that has to be single shot in the AR. I load that stuff on the Co-ax.   So... if I was loading 22-250, or any of the higher powered stuff, I would load single stage anyway. Just my two cents.

When I took my HCP class, my instructor ran me thru a bunch of defensive drills before actually shooting for score. I used my old DA/SA decocker S&W for the class. He made me use the safety. Draw, safety off, fire. I carry Glocks now. I still have the S&W BTW.

This really was a good thing for TGO and CMT. I have all the parts in one set of my receivers now, and am real happy with the product so far. This can't help but make CMT's fan base a lot bigger.   BTW... I didn't miss beating roll pins into my lower receiver at all :)

  Preferences vary widely. I've owned a DA/SA decocker since the '70's, but prefer Glocks these days. I even shoot better with the decocker once I get it into single action mode.

  I was thinking hardwood too. As you know, I usually lose the barrel nut lottery, and wind up having to put some eye popping torque on some of them. This first TGO upper is getting a Lite Rail, so the nut will be torqued at 30.

  There has been a lot of threads out there on 1911 carry. A large majority agrees that condition 0 isn't safe until you're ready to shoot. I have two 1911's, both bought recently. Neither has a firing pin safety. Both are a hell of a lot easier to accidentally discharge than my Glocks.   The good news is that the 1911 has been around for over 100 years, and they figured this shit out a long time ago. We don't have to do it here :)

Never thought of that. You sure don't want to do it wrong. A friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, wound up with a twisted upper receiver. I don't know the details, but do know that the receiver wound up in the can.
