  1.   Don't let one of the rings land on the handguard rail. The scope needs to be supported by the receiver rail only. In other words, A plain set of rings won't work on an AR (usually).
  2. More stuff, while I'm waiting for a barrel. It's a good idea to square up the front of your receiver, so I did that. It's also a good idea, so I'm told, to bed your barrel extension with blue loctite. I'll also do that if I ever get a barrel extension to bed.
  3. 77g SMK is about it for mag length. Anything bigger is loaded long, especially the VLD's
  4. I don't put backup sights on a gun with a real scope. Some folks do. If you want the best repeatable quick mount for an AR, Larue is it. Get yer wallet out. A PEPR is great. I have two. I just got the permanent mounts
  5. It's just such a weird bird. My friend Froggy was talking about building a 90 grain gun a couple of years ago. Haven't heard from him since. Hope it didn't do him in :)
  6.   :pleased:
  7.   I don't. My gun is an 8 twist, and can't use them. I haven't gotten around to loading the 80's yet.
  8.   Got pictures? Still using GI mags?
  9. Sucker works good, don't it? :)
  10. I have 80 grain Bergers. They're real specialized long range target bullets. If you don't shoot long range, they're probaby useless. I don't think my gun will handle the 90's
  11. FULL. I have some that aren't loaded, but not because I'm worried about the mags

  13. I would send those pictures to Geissele.
  14.   It's a Willis question. He uses a Sharpmaker for his recurves, The Sharpmaker lets you rotate the stones so you can use the flats or the corners. I know the corners will work
  15.   Not according to some folks
  16. This ain't the first TGO thread to head for the ditch. We'll get some homos in here before it's all over. :)
  17.   How much machining would have to be done? You don't want to bite into the structural integrity of the receiver. I would change receivers first
  18. Kick this around in your head. Since the rifle is gonna be such a fast shooter, think about adding the JP dissipator to the barrel and use their handguard. It's gonna change the look of the gun, but it will probably work better
  19.   I have a few 500 grainers for my 458. Now THAT's a bullet.
  20. I wouldn't machine the receiver
  21.   You can probably do the research on them with a plain old claw hammer :)
  22.   Somebody's gotta shoot at the close up stuff :)
  23. Those are great bullets for long range if you have a gun that will handle it. They'll work in .223 or 22/250. Need a pretty fast barrel twist. Needless to say, loaded rounds won't fit in an AR magazine.
  24. Guilty again. I give up. :)
