  1.   This isn't about Phil either. I'm guessing he's getting a kick out of the whole thing
  2.   You're whiter than Mitt Romney, but I hear ya.
  3.   I won't disagree that is' usually the case. But, Phil doesn't need the publicity or the money. He has a ballparked net worth of $15 million. That may be more than a redneck can spend (in case you never met one before).
  4.   I'm past the point of believing there is a sane solution. I'm gonna turn into Howard Stern. Make their heads explode.
  5.   You still can't lash out at the wrong person. Phil didn't say anything more than "I don't get it". Hell, I don't get it, and have really close friends in the lifestyle. I go to their houses, and they come to mine. This is about hypersensitivity. It's about rednecks being themselves, pop tarts shaped like guns, and all that crap. People are sick of it. I'm sick of it.
  6.   Maybe I'm a little touchy. Best I can tell, everybody in this group is trying to find their way through life with the aid of some friends. You tend to criticize members of that group, and I tend to be protective. No biggie. I love your ass (but not in an inappropriate way). :)
  7.   It's a good thing you're around to set us straight. I'm gonna ask again... If you have such a big problem with the folks here, why do you show up?
  8.   Well... you're especially cheerful tonight :)
  9.   That's right up his alley, so to speak :)
  10.   Noncompete contracts have lost in court, if they really want to fight that. Don't need to lose sight of the fact that these boys play hayseeds on TV, but are educated, successful business men. We won't be able to call this one until everybody is lawyered up (already done), and the press release comes out. This probably won't be the classic example of the TV boys beating up on the poor rednecks, especially given the value of the franchise. They can't just get new rednecks.
  11. Abusers of themselves??? Oops
  12. I haven't been outraged at all. I think A&E handled it wrong. Karma almost never really works. Making a stupid decision and killing one of your biggest brands usually has an immediate payback.
  13.   And THIS is what sticks in my craw about the whole thing. As I've said before, I have a lot of gay friends. During the great chicken outrage, all the "Evil Chicken People" Facebook posts were coming from my liberal idiot friends. My gay friends were silent. Some even had lunch there during the whole thing. Fact is, there was no hate involved. I view the thing with Phil as the same thing.   This whole issue isn't about free speech, discrimination, homophobia, hate, or any of that stuff. It's about over the top political correctness... again.
  14.   It goes by whatever is in the contract. The "talent" almost never owns the brand, unless they bring it with them. In all fairness to A&E, they took the risk to develop that brand. Of course, it's worthless without the Robertsons. When it all shakes out, it's gonna be without the money. Killing a brand like that can be a career ending move.
  15.   Correct. The Robertsons own the Duck Commander brand. If you're gonna buy something to support them, you don't need to put the money in the wrong pocket.
  16.   It's a contract arrangement. Phil isn't an employee. Besides, the EEOC doesn't care about all types of discrimination.
  17.   Not sure I'm with you on that one, Blake. We'll have to see how it shakes out. My gut says that A&E screwed up. I don't see how they can get thru it undamaged at this point. They have pissed off every redneck in the entire US. In this case... the bulk of their audience.
  18. I finally broke down and read the original article. I couldn't find any hatred in anything he said. I'm not a bible scholar, but afik, it calls it a sin. Just more libtard crap. They hate me too.   When it comes to A&E... they know the Robertsons. They were more than willing to accept the ratings and the revenues from that show. I hope they're prepared to accept the consequences of their knee jerk reaction to Phil being Phil. They put that show on the air so everybody could laugh at the funny rednecks, and wound up with something totally different. It was an accident... one that will be impossible to replace.   Seems like being a liberal idiot is just one disappointment after another :)

    New LCR-X

As hammerless guns go, I really like the LCR. If I was in the market, I would take a look.
  20. They's dead to me

    New LCR-X

Many mango seasons before you won that big swimming race, I never saw a revolver without a hammer. I won't own a revolver without one. It turns into a different animal in single action mode. Never worried about snags enough to give up the hammer. Both of my J frames have them.
  22. Yeah. The 300 is a tad beefy. I like mine a lot, but never carry it. Good for opening sugar packs at Starbucks if you enjoy seeing folks lose bladder control.
  23. I love it! That's gonna piss off some youtube freedom fighters
  24.   He's a good dude, man. Just don't mention the smurf balls
  25.   I love it when two old guys fight. Since this is a gay thread, y'all are gonna have to get naked and slap on some Wesson oil.
