It's a tradeoff. Big rest, little targets

And... when can we get this rolled out to all the gun owners? Didn't I read the other day that the government is working on decrypting anything on the fly? Private communication between anyone and everyone is history. It's easy to lock down machines that you control. Getting John Q public all on the same page is another deal.
-
Naive how? Because folks just weren't smart enough to predict that we would be living in Nazi Germany? What kind of networked communication do you envision that's spy proof? Technology isn't our problem, and there's nothing wrong with any of the current technologies. We have a problem with our government. No new technology will fix that.

TGO #2. Also a Grendel. Also wearing the Vortex glass, thanks to the Larue mount. I have a couple other long range scopes. Not sure how that will shake out. Probably another Larue.

I went and got my shot yesterday. Makes you feel a little rough around the edges, but not near as bad as the real thing. With my luck, I'll catch the real flu before it has a chance to work.

Welcome to TGO. We have lots of guns, gays, God, and politics, in no specific order :) As other have said, thank you for your service.

I hit the Chinese joint. Nobody was in there. They were all at the grocery store. -
The Republicans couldn't beat Fidel Castro in a national election. With that said, Obamacare really is a dog with fleas. Everybody will know that by 2016. The economy isn't going anywhere either. So, the Democrats may have beaten themselves. I don't think the Libertarians can grow fast enough to win anything. These elections are bought. They don't swing a big enough bat yet, and won't by 2016. I would be just fine with a Libertarian president. It just ain't gonna happen.

Fact is, with our current government's wide scale monitoring of all forms of electronic communication, any meaningful organization probably can't happen. The good news... there are a lot of true patriots within the rank and file of our military and law enforcement agencies. So, when it comes time for the government to sick their hired guns on the American people, THEY are the ones that have some organizing to do.

Sucks being the new guy. Can't blame a bunch of gun nuts for being a little jumpy, since we live under constant attack.

David booted his ass. Strel.

Immigration is a joke. Let's write some new laws, so we can fail to fund or enforce them too.

Well... if you ARE an infiltrator, you suck at it :). Must have been hand picked by Obama  Overzealous about nails it.

Yep.

That happens sometimes when listening to Abba. Doesn't require a car wreck. Sometimes heads just explode.

Press suggestions for new reloader

I haven't found any inconsistencies. There are loose tolerances that cause the slop, but there's a hard stop too. -
It's an ugly situation. I spent 16 hours or so in ICU this week. At least at that hospital, they give you an antiseptic sponge bath every 24 hours, and swab your nose with an ointment several times a day. I forget the frequency. They do this just to fight bacteria that they can't fight any other way. The bacteria is winning because of the way we have mismanaged antibiotics all these years.

Sounds like that boy was raised right. Well done, Mikey. -
Yep. I caught that. Just saying that I can't tell for sure unless somebody else looks at it.

New executive actions on gun background checks
mikegideon replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This sounds reasonable. But, how do you pull it off without doing more harm than good? The government is riddled with so much incompetence, do you really think they can pull off anything with even an ounce of good judgement? My gut says that they will have a very low success rate with the true goal, but will give the "guns are icky" crowd another tool to terrorize gun owners. -

Members of the Obama administration are exempt from all laws, and the US Constitution. -
I understand why Magpul made their choices. Cheyenne is right across the state line. So is north Texas if you ignore the OK panhandle (as you should). That company is made up of lots of key folks. In that part of the world, moving to Cheyenne is almost like moving to the burbs. It's a big deal getting a large group people to move. Asking them to move to another region would get very poor results.

I can't see a nice round dot, even on my Aimpoint. The circle dot on my Eotech optics is fine, and so is the T Dot on my Bushnell. My eyes just can't resolve a single bright dot. It's one of the reasons I prefer Eotech.

I just wish we had a governor like Rick Perry
