Here's the thing that gets me. Larry knows the shooting community, and knows better than to not fill backorders. It wouldn't surprise me if some customer support person told you the wrong thing, or even if they were actually doing the wrong thing. I just have a hard time believing that Larry would go "Cheaper Than Dirt" on us, knowing the shooting community as well as he does. TGO is bad enough, but if something like this hit arfcom, they would eat him alive. 

Midway has been straight up with me on all my backorders. It doesn't make sense that they would bump a backorder for a new order. Not doubting the OP's story, just wondering if Larry even knows about it. He's smarter than that.

I do my 5.56 blaster ammo, and 300 Blackout on the turret. The Grendel stuff will all be loaded single stage. It's Lapua bullets and brass.

  My general rule of thumb... if ANY of the components are made by Lapua, it gets loaded single stage.

Stropping is good stuff. With that said, most, if not all of those picture perfect polished edges come from an Edge Pro or Wicked Edge system. Repeated perfect alignment, and working your grits up into the thousands.

  It's not "we". We pay attention. We just aren't normal. We have to wait for the "what's in it for me" crowd to figure it out. My money says it will never happen. So, constrained by a bunch of folks that don't pay attention, you get to pick Coke (Repulicans), or Pepsi laced with cat piss (Democrats).

  It's true because it takes a strong brand and LOTS of money to win a national election. It would be a whole different deal if the majority of folks paid as much attention as we do. They don't. And, a growing number is too stupid to make sense of it even if they did pay attention.   I don't care if somebody comes up with the greatest cola that ever was. Somebody probably already has. The majority of folks are going to drink Coke or Pepsi, not because they're better, but because they're unbeatable brands with billions of development dollars behind them.

  BladeHQ has about the best site for looking and comparing. They're also a great vendor. Knifecenter is another. When it came down to buying, I bought quite a few from Amazon, especially my ZT's. They beat everybody's price, and stock a lot of the more popular knives.

  You really need to lap the receiver and bed the extension. I've done 3 of CMT uppers so far, and all 3 needed it IMO. I'll do it for you if you want.
