  1. I don't want open made illegal. If it ever is, it will be because of somebody doing it wrong.
  2.   Seems like it happened all of a sudden too.
  3. I just stubbed my toe on a big jug of it a little while ago :)
  4. I haven't quite figured out their shipping deal, other than the first scan is always Earth City (St. Louis Metro), and always late. I've had one shipment from them that was scanned in Columbia. That was an overnight that they screwed up, so somebody there drove it over to UPS. I do know that Midway's warehouses are 100 or so miles from Earth city. It may be that Fedex just isn't an option. One thing's for sure... nobody is gonna swing by in a step van and pick up their daily shipments.
  5.   You know that Midway trucks their shipments from Columbia to St. Louis every night, right? None of the other vendors, that I'm aware of, are moving that much product.
  6.   They're not just like the Democrats. Democrats want to disarm us. Now, I suppose it's OK to believe that some politician of ANY ilk is gonna do something right, if we only get the right one. Hell, it's OK to believe in lots of things.   But, Libertarians should quit saying that they're the same. They're NOT. If the country was ruled 100% by Democrats, we would be hunting squirrels with slingshots. I don't expect ANY of those assholes (politicians) to save the world, Libertarians included. So, I'll just keep it small. I want to keep my guns.
  7.   Is that the price? I wouldn't be surprised. Yep, I would pay it if I had a Tavor.
  8.   Belgian beer company. Those folks know more about making beer than anybody.
  9. We also have to realize that this isn't easy for the folks in the gun biz. You can have all the demand in the world. That doesn't equate to money in the bank when your supply lines are all screwed up. I'll cut Midway some slack, because I've seen how they prefer to run in normal times.   One thing you can count on with Potterfield... He has a formal background in business, and is going to keep his numbers right. When his revenues are down because of holes in his supply lines, he's not going to be dumb enough to lose the business, or damage his employees getting through it. I don't think Larry is getting greedy. I think he's scrambling to work around the bad economy and the war on guns. I hate to blame this all on our big eared, knuckle dragging, imitation president (not really), but that's who created Larry's problems. But, all I ask is a fair price and prevailing shipping rates. If it cost me as much or more to ship from Brownell's, I'm probably not gonna blame Larry.
  10.   Yep. He's one of those rare guys that delivers great stuff every time.
  11.   Yep. It's hard to beat their website as a master catalog.
  12. This is the home of nasty gun buying habits :). Welcome to TGO
  13. I'm betting Geissele will get it fixed. I'm also betting it won't be cheap. Sounds like he's shooting for an SSA style drop-in. So, at least, it won't be real tweaky sear engagement. Just gonna be more machining because of the modular packaging.
  14. Here's a non-destructive quick fix for the stock trigger while you're waiting...   http://www.thebangswitch.com/5-minute-tavor-trigger-job/
  15. My orders with Midway have probably numbered in the hundreds. I still buy a lot of stuff from them, but will agree that it's not as good as it once was. I noticed the jump in shipping like everybody else. They have fewer things in stock these days, but that's life in the gun world. They're not any slower getting things out the door, but will stick you with cheesier shipping to reduce costs.   UPS ground is still two days if I order in time for same day shipping. UPS Surepost is 3 days, and Mail Innovations is forever.   I'm not one to ever get anything on sale, so the discount structure doesn't really matter.
  16. That picture is a sneak peak for SHOT. I doubt that it's in production yet. Nothing glaring on their website.
  17.   I just saw the picture on Facebook today. I knew the Tavor needed a trigger, so it caught my eye. I own 4 Geissele triggers. I know he'll do it right. I'm pretty sure he's distantly related to RJ :)
  18. NO! This one (Bill Geissele)...
  19. The PST should be just fine.   BTW... the chamber on that Shilen barrel is real damn tight. I haven't cleaned it yet, but right now, it's measuring 5 thousanths shorter than the factory AA ammo. The JP barrel has a 20-25 thousanths jump. I DID clean it first
  20.   I plan to stick it on the JP rifle. It will do exactly what you want. It will let you start shooting. I'll have the PST on the Shilen gun. I won't be popping for a Nightforce.   Look at the reviews...   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/962234/bsa-tactical-mil-dot-rifle-scope-30mm-tube-6-24x-44mm-side-focus-glass-etched-mil-dot-reticle-matte
  21.   DPMS. It has internal support...   http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/AR15-DPMS-Panther-Claw-p/panther%20claw%20ar15.htm
  22.   I just paid 16 bucks UPS ground shipping to Brownell's for a handguard. UPS shipping rates are up everywhere
  23. Great scope for the money
  24.   I hear you. I don't normally backorder anything unless it's hard to get stuff, like my Grendel barrel. Thank God I don't ever shoot .22. I actually gave some 22 away since King Barry started his war on guns.
  25.   I just shoot those 50 cent bullets slower than a sackful of SS109's. Might as well reload them slower too :)
