  1.   Bottom of a coffee cup, but you need skill :) I got no skill :)   I got the Edge Pro because I just can't maintain a consistent angle, even with the Spyderco sharpener. Lots of folks like the Spyderco.
  2. Good choice! Get the stop collar. It will allow you compensate for varying stone thickness. I have mostly Edge Pro stones, with Shaptons for the finer grits. I will replace with Shaptons as they wear out.   http://www.chefknivestogo.com/5drstcowhexk.html   [media https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoHW3TUdz5s /media]
  3.   Some folks will eat their own poop to get on TV.
  4.   The ones from Kmart don't. The ones with very high sound pressure levels (135 db spl) are painful. In fact, I wouldn't leave the blaster on very long, because it would damage the dog's hearing. Didn't need to. He would hide in his house when I fired up the blaster. My problem dog was mostly boredom barking, but not all. It was the neighbor's dog. Finally got him trained. Didn't matter if he was barking to get his sorry ass owners' attention, or at one of the neighborhood cats.
  5. I built this. I call it the Dogblaster 9000... Here are some commercial offerings... http://www.amazing1.com/pest-control-dog-and-rodent.html
  6.   Gee thanks :)
  7.   It's extremely Chinese. I use Weller stuff for most of my work, which is still mostly thru hole.
  8. I have used an iron. I don't anymore, since I have a real rework station.   Folks have been doing reflow with toaster ovens for years. It's not good for production. I like to use hot air for prototyping. Too easy to bump the board and move a component. I would rather stick them down one at a time
  9. There's a learning curve :)
  10.   That's kinda how it goes. You use solder paste, with little solder balls suspended in it. Put paste on the lands, stick the component down, and then hit it with hot air. i use one of these...   http://sra-solder.com/product.php/6681/0?gclid=CjkKEQjw5LWcBRCeh8uUlqqluN4BEiQAfr64cENlvMoYKVqfAMb4PivDt30XHAr5aDHZUo7u7G1IUJvw_wcB
  11.   Yeah. I just stuff until it starts getting dense, then solder and clip the leads. Commercial assemblers don't crimp anything. They prep the leads, usually by machine, stuff the components, and wave solder. Then they run it over a trim machine.   Now, most components are stuffed by robots. Most components arent really stuffed. Mostly surface mount.
  12.   It looks like it has it. I will probably order one of these.
  13.   I have stuffed a LOT of circuit boards in my life. You don't need to crimp leads to hold components. I usually bend the leads on the solde side of the board enough to hold them in. If it's something that won't bend, I find another way.

I got a big sack of those FTX bullets from David. They work just fine. The TTSX is just right in the pocket. They fully expand down to velocities that you expect from the SOCOM, and don't come apart when they hit
  15.   I was afraid of that. At least she's not after me :)
  16.   We went to flush cuts years ago. A number of folks make them (or label them as their own). here's one.   http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?sku=70145428&mkwid=6kTPp5T7&pcrid=18584040739&gclid=CjkKEQjw5LWcBRCeh8uUlqqluN4BEiQAfr64cBtBG075j9EIvj1KNkERSKchfa-AQXbgyq7YkMjUMSvw_wcB
  17.   You just couldn't let Strick have all the fun, could ya?   You could have got him the first time if I wasn't worried about Mrs. Dolomite kicking my ass for waking up the whole house :)

  19.   Xcelite is still around. I just replaced the case for my TC100, and bought the tools that were missing.
  20.   I figure that's banner's choice
  21.   Our bouncers were on break when he showed up. :) Took them a minute longer than normal.
  22.   Also, what I was thinking. He needed to knock some of the rust off his hammer :)
  23.   Crossed my mind too
  24.   He gets that way when he skips his Geritol
