  1.   He better hurry up too, since you're running a little short on knives :)
  2. Another wow. Seems like they just keep getting better
  3. GREAT caliber. Get a Savage
  4. If it wasn't for the NRA, we would all be shooting single barrel shotguns right now
  5.   Do it some more. Mine worked fine, until it didn't
  6.   They're all fast enough to get a little pee trickle out of an MSNBC viewer :) With that said, my Godson is really fast. Light blade, and probably the same spring as the LG101.
  7. Mine fired hard before it broke. Still fires hard.
  8. They have built thousands of these Rockeyes, and use the same spring in some of their other knives. Just a boo boo. David was surprised. They don't get returns on these things.
  9. I had one. It just turned into a manual knife. It's like the spring was just missing. Smooth as butter, just no spring tension. Protech service was great.
  10.   Is 30/30 as good as 30 WCF? :) 94user... as in Winchester 1894. :)
  11.   They used to be nicknamed "Guns and Assholes". Sounds like they could have wised up.
  12. I don't like carrying ANY knife unless it's clipped in, with the blade held against the back seam of my pocket. Fortunately, all 3 of my Protechs are that way.
  13.   When neck tension really matters...
  14. I'm a lefty. But, thank God, I'm not a fanatic about it :). I shoot right handed, and carry/use my knives right handed as well. As was mentioned above, the Benchmade axis lock is ambi. Protech also makes some left handed models.     http://www.protechknives.com/knives/switchblades/doru-knives.asp
  15. I don't yet. But, when I do, it will be with one of these. Best machine available.
  16. At least it's confined to the bolt carrier group, and is gonna be a real easy fix.
  17.   Good thing it wasn't a Glock. :) I use the clip on everything
  18. Was it clipped in the back of your right pocket?
  19.   Just clarifying. I said they weren't issued in quantity. Should have said to everybody. There were more M4's issued than anything else, and they ARE an M16 with short barrel and gas system.
  20.   I knew about that. Didn't have anything to do with sand. Had to do with longer engagement ranges.
  21.   I think you are getting the M14 and the M4 mixed up. AFIK, the M14 hasn't been issued in any significant quantity since the early Vietnam years. Did I miss something?
  22.   I haven't been in combat either. The military's conclusion... doesn't matter how hard it hits the dirt. They found that most rounds weren't hitting their targets, so round count is king. An M16 isn't real controllable in full auto. The M14 is something to see. I doubt that I could dump a whole mag through a doorway at 10 yards. I know the military has some 308's scattered around for true marksmen.
  23.   In both cases, the ammo weighs twice as much. And the 308 has too much recoil for full auto as well. I watched a fellow TGO member shoot an M14 full auto one day, and it was pushing him around the yard. Big ole boy, too. Based on studies I've seen, the 308 will may a better whoosh when it sails by its target :)
  24.   Well... the ole peanut whistle sure isn't taking up any space. Sorry, I really hate that guy.
  25.   I'm still not so sure that a lot of these OC Morons are actually planted there by Pipsqueaks and Mommies Against Icky Guns. If that's the case, they're not morons. They're highly effective. I wouldn't put it past the man with the tiny one, or his Mommies.
