  1. Anybody seen them on the shelf in the Nashville area? Notice prices? Ready to buy today. Just need an all black one.
  2.   Whiskey kills it. You will be fine :)
  3.   So is farting, and can have plenty of bodily fluids if you do it wrong.
  4.   He should have flown to DC. That place needs to be thinned out.
  5.   Dumb luck with good odds. :) If you go slow, and can seed the tank, you stand a good chance. You still don't KNOW. Toxic water is usually clearer than good water, since algea won't grow until the nitrate shows up. The bad news is that it can damage the fish without killing them. Shortens their lives.
  6. Yep. The bacteria will die without a food source. Gotta have some ammonia. If you do this without the ability to test the water, you will only succeed by pure dumb luck. It's a really slow process to cycle a tank from tap water and new gravel.. My first tank took forever. I wound up having to use chemicals to control the ammonia (to keep from killing the fish), which most likely slowed the process even more. I finally bought some bacteria to seed the tank. At the time, there was only ONE product that worked. Expensive. A handful of gravel from an established tank is worth its weight in gold.
  7. This is a GREAT test kit. Some of the tests are a little tedious, but you can count on it.   http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4345+4454&pcatid=4454
  8. You gotta test the water. You can bet that a smart local fish store will test it before they cough up money for a dead fish. If you are cycling a new tank, or even one with just new water, you should be able to observe this below. The ammonia and nitrite will drop to zero when it's fully cycled, and the nitrate will continue to climb until you do a water change... NOTE: Don't pay any attention to the number of days. That depends on the bacteria population and the bioload. I have seen it happen in a week or less when the tank was seeded with gravel from a well established tank.
  9.   I have a Godfather as well. The Godson is faster, but has less
  10.   I am knife poor right now. But, I seriously plan to ask you do do one for me.
  11. Yep. I'm gonna screw around and not talk him out of one until he gets famous. Then it will be $1500 and a 2 year wait :)
  12.   Check the ammonia level
  13.   The problem isn't kicking people out. She could throw out every muslim that walked in the door and never have a problem. She just can't ban them as a group. Not saying I agree one way or the other. Just saying, that's the way it is. I'm willing to bet she already knows that.
  14.   Can't be banning no rednecks. I won't have it
  15.   NO REDNECKS??? You went too far now. :)
  16. If head lopping was that popular among US muslims, we would be finding a LOT more heads. I'm concerned myself, but don't look at every one of them like they are gonna lop my head off. you can't discriminate against a whole religion in this country. They won't let you, no matter what is spelled out in their book.   You can discriminate against assholes, which will clearly cover muslim extremists.
  17. They make vacation blocks that will time release food too.
  18.   I understand. But, It's the most common caliber if you are gonna push spitzer bullets. .223 is cheap, and will usually do the job.
  19. MOST of my AR's have folding front sights. They ALL (except my A2) have optics, most with batteries. I won't have a rifle with electronic optics and no backup sights. I'm not a big fan of fixed front sights either. But, we ain't normal. Lots of folks buy an AR with irons, and that's as far as it goes. I built every one of my rifles. but I ain't normal :)
  20.   Overwhelming desire to be on TV
  21.   That's a shocker :). Everybody needs a 5.56, even if they have moved on
  22. I have 3 of those Eheim units. They will last forever. Probably not worth it for a once in a blue moon thing. If you are only gonna be gone for 5 days, you may not need to worry about it at all. It's hard to starve a fish to death.
  23. What Peej said. She can kick 'em out one-by-one,
  24. I like the front gas block... I think. Given a choice between this one and a PSA, I know how I would go.
