  1. We like guns and the constitution too :). Welcome to TGO
  2.   I have a 23 and 19, both Gen 4. They are the same gun except for the hole in the end. I bought a 30s last week, and already had a 36. I like the 45's, but will always hang onto the 23 and 19.

    My first AR

Here's the thing... Since there's no drop in the stock like a regular rifle, the center of the optic (height) winds up 2.5 inches above the bore. So, unlike a standard rifle, you don't just mount the scope as low as you can get it. The Burris PEPR is the right height.   With the iron sights, to adjust elevation with the height of the front sight post, and windage on the rear sight.
  4. I got these and added a bread knife to the set. They're pretty good so far. Real sharp out of the box. Haven't had to sharpen any of them yet...   http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/j-a-henckels-international-classic-16-piece-knife-block-set/1040229102?Keyword=knives
  5. I have Henkel Knives. I think I got them from BB&B. Here ya go. These will slice up a chicken...   http://www.chefknivestogo.com/ke9piknsetwi.html
  6.   It's refreshing to see somebody like Lisa working for the state. She has helped a lot of folks over the years.
  7.   Does the PMAG work in an M4? Maybe some arrogance is justified. Who knows
  8.   I'm not sure who I would throw in with. The two lower manufacturers certainly don't have milspec magwells. It kinda just is what it is. I'm not sure Noveske or Spikes deserve and more respect than Magpul either. I know who showed up to the real fight. Just a couple of things that don't work together.
  9.   He won't be disappointed. What a great knife.
  10.   The left handed ones are in the next shipment. What you get for not learning how to work the other hand :)
  11. Bunch of gun totin', switchblade carryin' rednecks! I love this place :)
  12.   Almost have enough money to buy two RDIAS. There is LOTS of money behind keeping the laws the way they are. That $20,000+ M16 will be worth less than $1000 if the machine gun ban ever goes away. Uphill climb. I'm all for it.
  13.   Fire eats oxygen. When it eats enough of it, you pass out. If the source of the oxygen is not an outside vent, then it will take oxygen from the heated space. Not saying there will be a problem. Just saying that it works that way. It's why they use a heat exchanger in a gas furnace. So, if you use open flame heat in a room, you do need some fresh air to make up for the consumed oxygen (actually not consumed, but converted to CO and CO2). Anyway, you won't know there's a problem until you get dizzy.   EDIT: What Peej said ^^^
  14.   Yep. And there would be a big dark spot where Hillary was sitting
  15.   If you poke a few holes in it with a pencil, you can regulate the speed :)
  16. I thought we were gonna have a machine gun shoot in your back yard the last time they kicked up.
  17. I'm not going to use anything that requires me to carry fuel. If I get sick of my electric heater, I'll switch to natural gas. I think Caster was talking about an oil filled electric.
  18. Again... if you don't have enough headspace, the bolt just won't close. Too much is the dangerous condition.
  19. That's a roll pin for the ejector. But, everybody needs to try it once without the tool :). It can be done. I've done the cartridge thing before.
  20. I turned my garage into a shop. It's insulated too. I just use an electric space heater. Doesn't take much.
  21.   Yep BigK. Remove the ejector, and we'll be meeting at the Waffle House for sure. You will need to borrow my "puttin' the ejector back in" tool :)   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/231625/schuster-ar-15-bolt-extractor-and-ejector-disassembly-tool
  22.   Yes, and you're right. The last bit of carrier travel is to rotate the bolt.
  23.   Needs to be held with a plastic bag over his head until he quits wigglin'
  24.   Bingo! I have lots of AR and 223 ammo tools. Headspace guages... nah
