  1.   Let me give you something to chew on while you wait. My Godson is the smoothest Protech I have. The Godfather is cool (I have two), but the Godson is just in the pocket when it comes to function.
  2. Just get a new Vaquero for show, and slip one of those American made Glock wannabes in your back pocket. One thing good about single actions... they hit hard with those long barrels.
  3.   I don't know if the trigger bow would even support that. It's real feeble. If I list the pain-in-the-butt features of a single action, the action itself is down the list. I see what you're thinking, something that could be effective with a cool look.
  4.   Whut??? You mean a DA gun that just looks like one?
  5.   19ish grains of Bulleye in our quickload example is right at the SAAMI max pressure, with a muzzle velocity of about 2900 FPS. It's pretty hard to stick a bullet with any significant charge.
  6. I guess I could get out my trusty trigger gauge and measure those suckers.
  7.   Duh! The trigger don't suck :)
  8. I don't have a holster for mine. I would have to Mexican carry it.
  9.   I need to call them anyway. I bought my Gen 4 G19 used, and need to make sure it has all the right stuff in it.
  10. The 243 is fast anyway. Here it is with Reloader 15. Note that the barrel time increased significantly...
  11. I need to look at my Gen4 G23. That one is old enough that it could have the crappy connector.
  12. Here you go. Threw a 70 gr Matchking, standard OAL, with 100% fill of Bullseye. Max chamber pressure is 135,000 psi. Max for 243 is 60,000.
  13. It's a helluva gun. Would scare the bejeesus out of all the Bloomies.
  14.   He's lucky they didn't have to dig that bolt out of his face.
  15. I have the sort handle too. I will probably switch back to the long one if I have a bunch of full length sizing to do
  16.   If you can get him away from his ninja guns for a few minutes :). Most of what I'm seeing from him lately is stuff like this...   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbayzx-nx7o
  17.   I agree, except... I'm sitting here in a pile o' Glocks, and ain't feeling "better" in any trigger.
  18.   Not that I can feel. I thought I felt a very slight difference between my Gen 4 23 and my Gen 3 19. Swapped the Gen 3 19 for a Gen 4.   Just compared my Gen 4 19 with my Gen 3 36 and my Gen 3 30s. I can't feel a significant difference between any of them. I will chalk up the very minor differences to the fact that they are mass produced guns with no hand fitting. I bought the 30 series guns new. Haven't even shot the 30s yet.
  19.   I didn't realize how screwed up it is. I reckon I better shoot mine some more. My Gen 4 trigger feels exactly like my Gen 3 triggers
  20.   R&D guys? You mean those guys that designed the G19 Gen4? So, they designed a new generation of the most popular pistol on the planet. And, because of some early problems, it was proclaimed by some of our same Taurus buying friends that they were no longer capable of designing a pistol.   They have something to protect. They're also not the only manufacturer with a leading position that doesn't chase trends with the rest. It's much more important, IMO, that their products are rock solid.
  21.   I sure hope they can prevail. If I was in their shoes right now, I would release something like this, no matter what chance I had of winning. Fact is, the reason most folks bought these things was to use as a stock. That could be bad for Sig.
  22.   Glock's market has ALWAYS been government agencies. I'm not sure they give a rat's ass what we think. We're the crowd that buys Taurus, High point, and all the other "consumer" grade guns. I view the G42 as a backup and off duty gun for Glock's primary market. Sure they are going to sell guns to everybody. I just don't see them going real wrong here. Cater to the pros.    I will most likely buy a G42 for what it is. There is a big smorgasbord of carry guns out there. I'm not going to get pissed at Glock because they focus on their market. I'm pretty sure they're gonna keep a healthy share of it.
  23. Ya know... that's kinda like ignoring the "Do Not Drink" on a jug of antifreeze.
