  1.   Yep. Shot placement is everything, except for that kinda payload. You can bleed somebody out by shooting them damn near anywhere.
  2.   Well... you gotta be able to work a shotgun. :) Lots of dead critters to my credit, and they were a lot smaller and a lot faster than your basic hood rat. I'm a better shot with a long gun than a pistol. 00 buck is devastating if you give them the full payload. You are lucky to stop somebody with a single 9mm round.   To each his own. I normally only have pistols lying around. But, there's no way one will be as effective as a shotgun.
  3.   It's the one to get.
  4.   Other than that, it's a Glock 9mm, which is about as boring as it gets. They all look and work the same, and they all go bang reliably. There's just not room for any big news until the libtards develop a smart gun that works.   I have owned a high capacity 9mm service pistol since the late '70's. The thing still works. It's about the same size as my G19, and weighs a few ounces more but I wouldn't be afraid to carry it. Both are Browning knockoffs :). Ain't nothing new except the paint job :)
  5.   He does a great job, especially with Glock reviews.
  6. Hickok weighs in...   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pHdg4F15aQ
  7. I'm glad they came out with it. I'm not in any rush to pick one up, but will most likely wind up with one.
  8.   How is it compared to the 42? They look just alike in pictures. I love the size of the 42. Much easier to hide. I'm sure I would like the 43 as well
  9. I sure do enjoy every frustration they have to endure. The war on guns really sucks. But watching them lose is kinda fun.
  10.   Can't agree with you on that. Electronic muffs are still an obstruction. I'll get over the blast to my ears.
  11.   Yep. They's gonna be pissed :)
  12. Hit that sucker with a BFH. That'll do it :)
  13.   I have a steel gun to show my friends. I have a plastic gun to show my enemies :)   When I was young, there was no such thing as a plastic gun... no shit.
  14. I doubt that anybody will lose much money on their purchase. "Just a Glock" is exactly why there's a frenzy
  15.   Harmonics, technically, is any multiple of a fundamental frequency. It gets abused some.   Here's some light reading...   http://www.the-long-family.com/optimal%20barrel%20time.htm http://www.varmintal.com/abat85.htm http://www.varmintal.com/abolt.htm http://www.varmintal.com/atune.htm
  16.   I have it, and haven't been thru the whole thing. First thing you will notice, though, is that somew of the guys are shooting gas guns.
  17. Yep. You gotta have enough slop to let the action cycle on a gas gun. If I had an AI, I probably wouldn't go out with anything else either.
  18. Here's a 308 load that I whipped up in Quickload. Note that it's slower than a .223, even with the 20 inch barrel. The bullet is out the barrel in right at a millisecond.
  19. Ain't shit happening until the bullet passes the gas block. Fact is, bolt actions can have much tighter mechanical tolerances, and stronger bolts. BOTH have travelling mechanical distortions along the barrel from the discharge of the round, and both are most accurate when the rate of change of mechanical distortion is least at the end of the barrel when the bullet leaves the barrel.   Check out the Art of the Precision Rifle. Todd Hodnett says both types are capable of long range sniper service. And, there ain't many folks more qualified to make that statement. FWIW, Todd's goto personal rifle was an Accuracy International bolt gun.
  20. He has no fans here anymore.
  21.   You can say that again
  22. Looks like Nelly is in a heap o' trouble.
